Half time score

  • Evening matched betters. It’s been good to read posts off the new and the old community the last couple of days. Anyway, was interested in seeing where we are half way through the festival in terms of profits made. Don’t want blagging or arguing just some FACTUAL profits.

I would like to say that compared to last year the offers have been a lot harder and the results not as favorable on the whole for matched betters. That is in my case anyway. First instincts suggest to me that tomorrow could be a better day than the last to.

Anyway over the 2 days I have made 134 yesterday and 184 today taking my total to £318. This is off a set of accounts minus WH but after paying “fees” for going round his house my true profit is around £200.

Not where I wanted to be but not a disaster just hopefully shows how much harder it is out there this year when compared to last.

  • New to matched betting?

My Matched Betting Academy is the best place to get started. Learning the fundamentals takes 10-15 minutes and you’ll make £15 in the process.

230 for me which is very disappointing.

I think I am sitting at about £160 profit for the two days, which has been a slog and includes a decent SUB! It is my first Cheltenham, having only been matched betting for the last 2 months, and I am only using one account. My target for the festival is £300 profit so I am on course, and hoping for much more luck next couple days.

Enjoying the buzz of trying to find close matches etc.. but feel I need to learn much more advanced techniques (e/w arbing, extra places etc) if this is going to be a long term venture.

Love reading how much money others are making, good luck everyone!

    £160 so far.

EW arbs have been the biggest disappointment for me. Decided to underlay on Tuesday. Nothing placed and missed out on £150 extra,

Decided to just take the guaranteed profit today. Fucking everything hit. Had 1st, 2nd and 3rd in the 16:50! Didn’t want to count how much it could have been.

I have noticed that most stuff is lengthening, not much if any has come in.

Think, I’m going to take what is available early tomorrow and save myself from hoping stuff comes in.

I am about £70 up. No double accounts, no ew arbing, no shops

Not too bad considering my minimal float and lack of effort

Mine stands at £177. I have underlaid every boost, and none of them have won. If you were a standard mug punting all the boosts (Melon, Yanworth, Ballyandy, Cantlow, Auvergant) to name a few, you would be seriously out of pocket..
I have underlaid all e/w arbs except Cloudy Dream which obviously went on to place. Had a huge e/w place on Garde La Victoire today (11.25/3.2) but underlaid..finished even behind Douvan!

Am up £182. It’s my first Cheltenham, so I’m pretty happy with that. All my lay bets seem to be winning – my exchange accounts are up almost £550 now!

£310 so far. Relied on the main two bad ew arb races and some freebies/sign ups offers from lesser firms. Plus Apples Jade punt for the lads offer.

On course to make around half of what i managed last year. Then i was oblivious to ew arbing but the ‘basic’ offers felt so much better and i had more decent accounts still in tact.
A clean 365 acc would have bridged the gap!

I’m up about 300 ish (£200 yesterday and £100 today) but £60 of that came from forgetting to lay the place on an each way arb and it placed! Around £70 up from the Betbright promo too. The rest from price boosts, each way arbs and the usual MB2nds and bet x get x free bet.

Its hard to find close odds for the offers during the day so the QLs have been more than I would normally go for. I might just start laying heavy favorites the way the festival is going!

About 225 up with £30 in free bets. First Cheltenham so pretty pleased aim was about 300 so well on target . Took it easier today and did better than yesterday strangely. Was more willing to take QL’s of about £2 which worked in my favour as usually look to get much tighter.

Surprised so many people struggling with odds. There’s so much liquidity and a lot to choose from, there’s no time to do every offer in every race but seem to be plenty of easy hits.

Also surprised at some of the approaches, judging by comments people have let the festival punting outweigh matched betting, which is fine but you can’t really moan on a matched betting forum when piling into horses the bookies are taking on doesn’t pay off!

It’s been a funny one for me. Not almost as busy as this time last year. Don’t have many accounts left.

I’ve taken to enjoying the races and the banter on the forum.

Profit wise probably about £200 up. Mostly from the bad each way races.

    Couple of hundred.

Was going to post before the festival that the offers seemed weaker this year but didn’t because the general vibe seemed upbeat. Personally I’m finding it hard work.

Betman the issue for me isn’t liquidity it’s a combination of finding the right numbers and worthwhile offers. Nothing seems to have clicked quite yet.

£370 in free bets, obviously have to take extraction and ql into account, and done a few ew races, made up so far.

Plus apples jade which i felt was too much value not to back outright given the ladbrokes offer 🙂

I’m about £250 up so far and that’s with 3 accounts on most bookies, that’s without ew arbs as I’m relatively new and haven’t quite got the grasp, but been smashing the sky, betway, coral, betstars and paddy with the multi accounts

When are u looking Jimmy James?

I’ve been checking various points from the night before. Sometimes it’s catching the right moment, sometimes nothing comes up. I’ve also been very time limited so maybe have a lower expectation of what to get on… but done ok so far
