Hills – Holland to win by 4+ (4.5/3.05)

  • As per title. £40 max here but YMMV

Can be laid on the Lux +3 market on Betfair (lay Holland -3) or using the Asian Handicaps too.

At odds I took its worth £16 guaranteed or a risk free shot at just over £50

@jd the Asian handcap would end up a scratch bet @ 0 – 3 thats what I was warning against

but on the other market your lay wins on a draw or luxemberg win
    holland win 0 – 3 (-3) = 0 – 0 lay bet wins/Bookie Loose

    holland win 0 – 4 (-3) = 0 – 1 lay bet loose/Bookie win

I’m too slow at this typing already been answered lol

    ???

These ‘win by X goals’ offers always generate the same confusion!

Hope you all got your bets layed successfully lads!

To clarify as I’m still confused…for the lay bet what are you actually betting on? I thought it was ‘Holland will not lose by 3’ can someone clarify what the lay bet is?

@foreleft Not at all mate, it was definitely worth pointing out the nuisances of the Asian Handicaps and the whole ‘scratch’ possibility. That’s why I prefer to stick to the normal “Team A +3” markets personally, provided the odds are similar on each.

Not looking great for any underlayers… 30 mins in and still goalless, Holland only had 2 shots on target so far.

The lay bet is simply that Holland will not WIN (not draw, but WIN) if you take 3 goals off their final tally.

It is essentially a bet against Holland winning by 4 goals or more, which is obviously the polar opposite of what we have backed at the bookies here.

Laying -3.5 on Asian Handicap is absolutely fine – if Netherlands win by 4 or more goals, the lay bet loses, else the lay bet wins.

Laying -3 on Asian Handicap runs the risk of the 0-3 score scenario not counting as a lay bet win, but rather the lay stake being refunded to whoever you matched against.

EDIT: I see this has already been covered above lol

Ah that makes sense Tony, it was a fundamental misunderstanding of the bet, I’ll know for next time!

Wtf, 1-1. This one needs to have been a money back if penalty scored match by looks of it!!!
Happy for the lay to lose as normal layed. Money into betfair, although on current form they’ll want to wait until the last group game before settling!

So could you alternatively have bet on +4 Luxembourg if that was an option?

No Jonh… that would end in a draw if Holland were to win 4-0…

Should have known it wasn’t coming in… Luxembourg had only conceded 6 in their other 3 games total!

Yeah it would but then the bookie bet would win? If Holland won by 4 or more, anything under that the Betfair +4 lux bet would win.

    I’m not even sure I’ve ever seen a +4 market??… think you’re over complicating it mate!…
