Horse Racing (26th Mar)

  • Will Hill – money back 2nd
    Haydock
    Money back as a free bet* if 2nd in 2:00, 2:35, 3:10 & 3:45 Ch4 races. View terms.

    Kempton
    Money back as a free bet* if 2nd in 2:15, 2:50 & 3:25 Ch4 races. View terms.

I’m not going near any of the haydock races (big fields open races, hard to hit on a 2nd) but kempton looks good.

Betfair 3/1+ on all the same races plus all meydan races.

Betbright money back 2nd to SP meydan

Bet365 – free bet for 4/1+ winners all the channel 4 races.

    Cheers for this Fog

Sky doing 2nd and 3rd refund on the 1400 at Haydock. If you can get a decent qualifier, might be worth trying to combine with betfair?

Ladbrokes MBS on all Channel 4 races too.

Haydock is tough yeah but at least do the first two races and see how they go.

I’m going with Five in a Row for the Sky Bet offer. Finished well back in his last race but always completes the course and places very regularly so I think he has a good chance of 2nd or 3rd. Not one of my strongest tips, this race is far too open.

I got Crookstown e/w @11.0 on 188bet on the extra place offer (Haydock 15:45)…

Layed to win on Smarkets £17.63@12.5
Layed to place on Smarkets £21.02@3.35

    If bookie horse wins £250.00 – £252.12 = -£2.12
    If bookie horse places (doesn’t win) £30.00 – £32.12 = -£2.12
    If bookie & exchange bets both win £30.00 + £37.88= £67.88
    If exchange bet wins -£40.00 + £37.88 = -£2.12

So effective odds of 30/1 for him to finish exactly 5th. Good odds in the long run I figure, there are 17 horses in the race and he is gotta be more likely to finish in the top half position than the lower positions. But not that likely to win. Just as an example of this offer.

I need to get my head round those and the accs but I’m not gubbed at many places so I think I’ll keep them in my back pocket for later.

Anyone interested in Bet365 offer, Restorer is 5.0/4.9 at present. 2.15 Kempton, has a good chance at winning.

Got it Chris. He is moved to 5.0 but still definitely value.

Jeez, checked and back down to 4.9 on smarkets. Oh well, I still have value I reckon.

Definitely, you’ve got an 80p qualifying loss on a £50 back and lay that has a good chance of winning. His odds are down to 4.5 now so we did well.

Five in a Row 11/11.5 lowest qualifying loss I could find…and also it was Chris’s pick which helped made the decision 😉

    Here’s hoping.

Bit of a minefield this race. Also got Ballybolly and The Cobbler Swayne covered on MBS.
