How I've made 1.5k in 4 nights. The US goldmine.
-
First of all I’d like to thank ant aka poker4life and his group of elite match bettors who revealed this great source of income to me.
What you’re gonna need:
1. A Paddy Power account (limits as big as possible) – bank – around 350 for a start
2. A SkyBet account for when you get restricted (odds are nothing close to PP)
3. A Betfair Exchange with as much as possible so you can get on as much horses as you can
4. Something to entertain you before liquidity comes because it happens during night time and waiting for the next eligible race to come up with an arb might bore youBasically Paddy offers fixed prices on US racing which aren’t close to the Betfair reality (not all). They’re very slow to cut and before they do you’d be able to get a CRAZY arb. And by saying crazy let me give you some examples of what I’ve gotten in my journey.
26/6 (horse even went on to win after being cut to 6/1 afterwards)
3/1.5
17/11
4/1.98
6/4 <=== these are the most common examples
2/1.35
20/15
10/5.5
8/4.4
13/7.2and more and more and more these are just examples from what I can remember, there are LOADS. I know it seems fiction if you’re only doing UK racing as you’ll never get that here. But as Paddy’s traders go to sleep early, you can get these and even better arbs. Few people have discovered how profitable it is and already benefited from that. I got heavily restricted yesterday and now I have to try get on with Sky which was a nightmare last night when they were nothing close to PP’s prices.
!!!!!!!!! You will get restricted and gubbed fast, probably have around 3 night before having your max. bet on a 2/1 horse at 10 quid. They do that on the next day after you’ve won a fortune so stay up the whole night I’d suggest. The bigger the stake, the better. BUT BEWARE – LIQUIDITY IS NOT ALWAYS THERE. You might want to queue until it comes. Another tip: Underlay the smaller odds like 3/1.5. Take guaranteed when you have a 20/10.5. Personally I get GTD 9 out of 10 times because I’m satisfied with 50 quid before the race starts, I know folk who always underlay. SMASH AND GRAB before your road ends. Good luck and don’t steal tonight’s liquidity off me please.

New to matched betting?
My Matched Betting Academy is the best place to get started. Learning the fundamentals takes 10-15 minutes and you’ll make £15 in the process.

I imagine they’ll have stolen funds that are totally unrelated to this US racing too if they’ve seized all funds?
Had SJ and Victor close in the past but theyve always honoured outstanding bets and withdrawn funds on settlement.
This just seems ridiculous. They’re literally free rolling.
+0They wouldn’t have a leg to stand on if you took them to court.
Suspicious betting is connected to match fixing or betting on a known result, taking value that they offer (trying to take your money) is not suspicious.
+0Terrible news, feel sorry for everyone involved.
I think Paddy must be clamping down, I’ve been e/w arbing with them for years since I was gubbed but the other day I was limited to 3p on every market and sent the usual gubbing email again, which I thought was strange because it basically said you can still bet with us, but no more treats for you. I was thinking of complaining as there’s no mention of restricting stakes but then couldn’t be bothered.
I’m pretty sure the link to betfair contributed, but they will always find a way to justify blocking someone who’s taking too much value.I do think it is disgusting that any bookie is allowed to simply shut anyone down. They have ONE JOB after all, how can it be that they can refuse anyones money when that is what their business is?
I hope you get your money back, and agree with above about complaining and causing bad publicity as much as possible.
+0Same deathstar my old account completely restricted on Sunday
I know people say they can’t keep money etc but what is the next step for people?
+0First of all they took the bet with odds offered by THEMSELVES, you didn’t put odds you wanted therefore the unrealistic odds leading to arbs is entirely their fault. Stealing your balance because of their own incompetence. Shouldn’t leave it like that, if you got the funds take them to court. After I got gubbed I had 1.3k sitting there after taking a grand for a night off PaddyPower. Wanted to log in and withdraw it and my acc was suspended and I had to send them a pic of my skrill details, bank statements, passports and pictures of my card next to my face. At the end I got my money but I don’t know it I’ll be opening the new account I was planning to. Thieves.
+0I really hope you guys get your money back. I think we all know bookies push things to the absolute legal limit and often stray over that limit too. I think this is one of those situations so hopefully they will see sense and allow you to withdraw your money.
Thanks for providing a heads up to everyone using this site. Although I hadn’t yet got around to looking at this, I had read the thread with interest and was probably going to give it a try in the next couple of weeks.
The problem with going the legal route (I’m no legal expert) is that if Paddys decide to stick their heels in then the legal costs could become very expensive. I think your best bet might be to try and get in touch with them and tell them that unless they give you your money back you will be contacting the press and media about what has happened.
+0I had a look on PP at 1am UK time and Betfair, wasn’t much liquidity in the markets except one race at 1.14am. After reading about PP’s actions, I think I’ll stay clear.

If a few of you affected live close to the same area I would get together and picket a local shop.
Don’t be shady about what you were doing if you appear to be holding something back you might not get the public support. There are other places ppl can bet.
You did nothing wrong if you had a valid account in your own name and weren’t involved in any sort of race fixing or any inside information.
You were just using tools publicly available and commonly used by most gamblers to identify value on Paddy’s odds.
Like deathstar said, they have one job. I see it as a battle between punter and bookie. They have all the advantages like access to traders, horse experts, servers to crunch numbers etc. They set their own odds! If they lose they have no one to blame but themselves.
+0harry, your post has just made me curious, has anyone that has been affected also been using skrill or paypal for depositing to paddy power, i think this could be a very big possibility
another reason why they might have looked at the account and decided they thought they could act like they have?
any multiple accounts i have used, that is one thing i have never wanted to touch, i always either sent them money to deposit via their own bank account or got them to set a bank account up to make moving money around easier and away from their day to day account etc
+0For those that are interested, both my Paddy account and Betfair account were in my own name. I had used Paypal to deposit to Paddy and used my card to deposit to Betfair. It is a possibility that my account was closed as it was found to be linked to my Betfair account, however I have layed Paddy bets with Betfair several times in the past and not had any issue until now.
It seems too much of a coincidence that this comes after switching to backing the US races and especially as it was met with such a severe response. I am convinced this was the cause now that have seen that others have had their accounts closed for doing the same thing.
I have a suspicious feeling that they purposely waited until I had a winner on the US races before closing my account, thus ensuring there was money to confiscate. Being nearly 1k out of pocket like this is sickening, I will pursue this as far as I can.
+0This is terrible. Have they categorically stated that funds will be withheld? They could return balances to your deposit method, worth checking with your bank?
I assume all those affected have gone to IBAS. As others have said it is down to them to prove you have abused their terms and conditions. Their are clauses about making a profit regardless of the outcome, but even if they could prove a link between your paddy and betfair accounts I strongly doubt IBAS would uphold their decision.
If I was IBAS I would be asking Paddy why they are offering such ridiculous odds only to penalise people that take advantage of them. Borders on entrapment.
Good luck guys and keep us posted, losing upwards of £200 is sickening
+0Sympathies to those who have potentially lost money – hope you manage to get it all back.
Think this serves to show how powerful forums like this are in terms of turning people onto loopholes and opportunities. Paddy have clearly noticed the large upturn in folk betting on what were probably relatively quiet markets until recently.
I would take to twitter and bombard them with negative (but still polite) PR in response to anything they tweet – you will be surprised how quickly that can lead to resolution when you harness the power of social media and call their reputation into question.
+0Dr_Ryan, what steps are you taking to try and resolve this?
Have you taken it public on Twitter?
+0If those affected want to leave negative reviews on Twitter, then I have 2 accounts with over 2500 followers and I have a blog network of 55 sites to leave negative SEO on Paddy Power.
This is really bad of them and I was thinking of trying this, but sod that if they are with holding money!
+0Loads of US arbs last night – unfortunately PP has restricted me to £30 return, which I had been expecting.
So I’ve withdrawn my balance.Let you know when it turns up, but I really can’t see any problem. What those guys who have had their money witheld were playing at is strange to say the least.
