The point was in isolation that bet is negative EV so the less we bet on this type of bet the better the long term outcome. So just taking a small ql then making profit on each goal would be better long term profit wise, or backing 0-0 to take out the 0-0 would be risk free but still better long term profit
But I get some people are risk free or want to lock in shorter term profits, or may also want to create outcomes that create more interest in a game. It wouldn’t be a ‘matched’ betting forum if we didn’t lay anything, even if the matching does reduce long term value!

Thanks man. I kind of get what your saying as the under 2.5 in this and most games is a little off a true price-although in this game I do fancy a low scoring game!. But I like to keep the daily profits rolling in in the bits and pieces I do on the bet stuff. And doing this locks in a profit between 12-28 which gets the days profit off to nice start. I guess putting £12 on the under 2.5 in this game is wasting about 50p-£1 long term. But it gives me good energy to steam into scanning the various days betting oppurtunities knowing a decent profit is already locked in.

yes I do bet a lot with marathon. they have a lot of small arbs for which you can get some decent money on regually about £50-100 in my case. shouldn’t be difficult to at least find plenty of qualiflying bets with them from which you get zero loss. Example, today back penalty in match 3-1 YES £34 with WH- NO £100 1.37 with Marathon (man utd game) £2-3 profit- £100 towards pts!

Alvin for me best way to guarantee profit is back the tenner with marathon on utd to win cover other outcomes with best odds elsewhere- whack £12 on under 2.5 goals evens with betfair my preference- or as betman mentions stick a quid or 2 on the 0-0 thus making sure of some prof.

For me they seem to take at least 1 day maybe 2 before appearing. I have had to go on the chat once after waiting 48 hours. so far been ok- if a bit slow!
