Non UK resident

  • Completly new to matched betting and was doing some research and came across a post that mentioned most matched betting is only available to UK residents. Tried like 4 of the site that are listed on the side of this page and yeah one of the sites only allowed UK residents, one was blocked in my country, one just didnt want to load (probably was also blocked).
So my questions are: Is it worth to even try to get into this, are there enough site that work outside of the UK to make a decent amout in a month? Has anyone had experience or know someone who is doing this?

My Matched Betting Academy is the best place to get started. Learning the fundamentals takes 10-15 minutes and you’ll make £15 in the process.

I’m also Non-UK and have been doing this since end of December. I’ve made a bit more than € 4k so far, which is very nice in my opinion. Actually in time I’d like to turn to value betting, but as long as I’m making this much money I stick to matched betting.

It just takes a bit more time to find out which bookies allow residents from your country. As the paid services focus on UK it has no use to sign-up to them. First deposit bonus responsible for 62% of bonusses, reloads 38%. I hadn’t expect reload offers would be that high.

Just read the terms very very carefully, if I’m not sure I just mail them or ask in live-chat. And even then, I’ve made 2 or 3 mistakes where Non-UK residents didn’t receive a bonus, but that didn’t result in loss of money.

Good to hear that its not limited to just UK residents. Thank you for your input. Going to try matched betting soon.

Just wanted to make an update on my situation that maybe could help someone in the future that is in a similar position as me.

I have visited about 20 or so of the popular betting sites and well only 2 of them had free bet offers for residents of my country (Latvia) which is still great to get those extra 50 or so eur. But in reallity you cant expect to make that much per month.

Something that i read on a blog recently is that a lot of these betting sites do not allow residents of eastern europe which in my adventure through the terms and conditions of these sites turned out to be true. So if you are from western europe you might have a larger selection of sites that offer these bonuses.

As Kanu stated he has made 4k in a little bit more than two month, although he didnt mention where he lives, so its not impossible to make a decent sum but this method of making money is limited to where you live unfortunately.

If you are unsure about what sites do offer you free bets, all i can say is to try for your self because the limitations differ a lot from site to site. Some might even have better offers for your country in particular.

I’m from Germany, started in August and just crossed the 10k€ profit mark. I assume it’s a tougher business in the eastern countries, though, because most sites exclude players from those countries from their promotional offers.

Masters, did you check out Triobet? I think they focus on the eastern countries and have a great welcome offer.

I’m from the Netherlands. I think the situation is pretty similar to that in Germany, but there are more bookies that also allow Germans. Do you have a special site you follow Ben? I for example almost never use the enhanced odds here or UK bookies (as most of them don’t allow Dutch folks). I just check every bookie available manually what the bonus offers are and if they allow people from the Netherlands, some are not very well known but just have pretty good offers, among many other otobet, betboro, ohmbet, tipbet etc.

Yeah, I think the situation should be similar. The bad thing about Germany is, though, that many bookies charge 5% taxes on every bet. This makes matched betting a lot less profitable for me, but it doesn’t apply to every bookie and I think I’m still doing well. I do several things to pick up the latest offers. We can chat on Skype if you want to exchange offers and bookies. Just send me your nick to ben@bootybay.de and I will add you.

I am a Brit living in Germany, looking at matched betting – but I was only interested if I can use sites such as OddsMonkey to find the bets/offers. I think it is too much time commitment and risk of error for me to try to do it all manually.

I have a UK bank account and address, but I am most of the time in Germany.

Are there enough UK betting sites that allow bets from Germany to make it worthwhile? Or are there “calculator/offer tracking ” sites that cover the German market?

    @kpollock
If you can satisfy KYC requirements for the UK address (bank details with that address as minimum and a bill in your name favourably) then I would use a VPN (paid one, about £5 a month) to be seen as a UK customer.

Bank no problem, but the only bill registered there is my creditcard and that is paperless. hmmm.

    Ben, Kanu and others:
Even if you find betting sites that are willing to work with non UK residents we still need to find a betting exchange that is willing to do so as well. don’t we?
How do we solve this problem?
