OddsMonkey no longer free?!?

  • What has happened?! Did this happen last night? I can’t find the free oddsmatcher anywhere, and now premium is £15 a month. I might have to pay it…

  • New to matched betting?

My Matched Betting Academy is the best place to get started. Learning the fundamentals takes 10-15 minutes and you’ll make £15 in the process.

I don’t think bookies will stop the offers. I can see them getting more complicated but not stopping altogether. There is massive money to be made by bookies and there are hundreds of them floating about so they can continue to be generous and will need to continue to be competitive …

But yeah you will get lots of offers to trap ppl like the winner one of the 2nd to SP or 2nd by a length or 3/1+ SP.

The smart guys will be able to filter out the good offers but the bookies will probably be pulling in a profit from most ppl that try match betting and can’t leave an offer alone or distinguish value…

Anyway I’ll plod along until the end taking what I can and appreciating that it is all just bonus money anyway. Never expecting this to be a long term or full time income.

By the way guys – according to Matts forum rules – we now can’t actually discuss the website mentioned in the post title anymore…
    😉 😀

Looks like I have to pay? Will only search 2 bookmakers.. Skybet & Coral. I must upgrade to see 90 bookmakers

Ah, didn’t spot that – “This free version of our Oddsmatcher brings you the odds from 2 bookmakers. Our Premium membership gives you access to over 90 bookmakers”

If you google ‘free oddsmatcher’ – there’s a few that still have all bookies
Notice those are ‘powered by Oddsmonkey’ so don’t know how long that will last…
Seems OddsTrawler must also be – they’re on a £15 subscription now too with no basic matcher anymore…

Haha, Conner, I’m still deciding if I have what it takes. I hope one day. Been trading horses pre-off for a while though. I’m not losing money, so that’s a good start. I’ve been reading a few books and trying to learn as much as i can about the markets etc.

Also, I always hate that whole “that’s just gambling” attitude. I mean yes, of course I’m risking capital. But where do you draw the line? When I’m putting large sums of my pension pot into global equity funds does that make me a degenerate gambler? I don’t think so.

Well that’s the first rule of trading isn’t it – don’t lose money 🙂
And yes that’s what I was going to say – it’s as much gambling as stock trading is. If you don’t what you’re doing then you’re gambling, but markets behave in sometimes predictable ways – you’re not trading on a match/race outcome, but swings in the market activity. There’s certainly angles to be taken, so it’s not just punting.

I contacted Oddsmonkey a while back about getting their Oddsmatcher on the blog. My intention was to pay their monthly ‘partner’ fees and have it freely accessible on here. Unfortunately, they won’t allow a website to use their Oddsmatcher unless the website is charging its’ users at least £10.00 per month…

…Hence, no Oddsmatcher on the blog.
