paddy power mb 2nd to fav

  • Surely the 3.30 Salis got to be worth the small qualifying loss … loos a 2 horse race… fav odds on! Fill your boots guys… thank me later 🙂

My Matched Betting Academy is the best place to get started. Learning the fundamentals takes 10-15 minutes and you’ll make £15 in the process.

2.25/2.5 give a QL of £2.77 if you use Smarkets. That’s not small – it’s too high for these offers IMO, plus the fact that the second favourite has a strong chance of actually winning the race (according to the odds!) and scuppering you free bet plans.

Galactic Prince in the 14:30 (5.0/5.5) seems a better shout for the same QL (which is still too high) as it seems more likely to come 2nd to SP Fav (based on the odds)

Having said all that – chasing 2nd to SP Fav offers on crappy midweek meetings is a straight road to Gubsville (unless you are frequently betting £25 on midweek donkeys)

    Good Luck 😀

Personally I think this is totally worth it.

    I disagree with you Tony.

Bet365 are paying out 1.79 on the straight forecast. Risking £2.77 to land £20 value – QL is effectively something like 5/1 so you are manufacturing great odds (triple odds) for yourself there for effectively a straight forecast.

How I would play this is Back £25@2.25 and underlay £14.62@2.5.

Horse wins then you are up £9.32. If the horse is 2nd to SP you are up £9.32. Any other result down £10.68.

Just wait closer to the off for tighter odds and to make sure no more non runners.

In general yes steer clear, but short odds on favourite, small field and a bunch of donkeys are the ideal candidate races to land one of these.

Are you kidding Tony! The odds on fav winning and other horse second probably work out 50/50 !! SAssume the forecast is the same

Sometimes need to get your head out of the QL and think about the actual chance of it happening FACTUALLY
