Sky Bet Extra Place – 7.30 Dundalk

  • Paying 4 places 1/5 odds.

    Probably worth a shot.

  • New to matched betting?

My Matched Betting Academy is the best place to get started. Learning the fundamentals takes 10-15 minutes and you’ll make £15 in the process.

I lost sky on Monday, think it only lasted so long because it was my main mug account for years before matches betting.

For those long gubbed, am I still eligible for their extra place offers? No mention that I’m not in the gunning email.

Looking on oddschecker it looks like a lot of bookies offering 1/4 on 4 places on that race. Might be something to do today, nothing else going on and work closed for the christmas.

With so many bookies offering 1/4 odds on the same race, is there no way of sure profit lads?

    Probably Tony.

San James are 8.0/8.0 on Super Focus right now.

Back him e/w and lay him to win on exchange. His place price is sure to be a nice arb closer to the off. And then double bonus if he finishes 4th.

Usually at Dundalk there’s reserves listed, so unlikely to be 16+ runners at the off. Other bookies will probably reduce to 3 places. Hence why the exchange are just 3 places and sky advertising 4th as an extra place.

Alright thank MbPunter. The voice of reason.

Hmmm yeah MbPunter, that would explain why Sky Bet have it as an extra place and all the other bookies dont.

Isn’t paying 4 places at 1/5 odds bad if other bookmakers are offering 4 places at 1/4 odds. What am i missing?

Jamie, you appear to be missing the 4 posts directly above yours – it’s fairly likely that the other bookies will reduce the places to 3 (as with the exchange) whilst Sky will not.

I’m still confused, they are paying an extra place yes but your getting 1/5 odds instead of 1/3 or 1/4. What i mean is the place odds on the exchange should be win odds divide by 3 (for top 3) yet the bookie is win odds divide by 5 (top 4) so how would you ever find a close match. Surely the back odds on the place are going to come up much shorter than the lay odds by quite a margin every time?

I’m on Keukenhof £50 each way. Just need ew lay odds to come down to 2.0 or below.

The fraction that the place odds will be are rarely a direct correlation to the number of places.

It can be top two at 1/4 odds
    Top 3 at 1/5 odds
    Top 4 at 1/4 odds

And so on and so forth…

Matt has proper guides on this that you should check out if you’re still confused.
