Small field but favourite looks a donkey ?

  • New to matched betting?

My Matched Betting Academy is the best place to get started. Learning the fundamentals takes 10-15 minutes and you’ll make £15 in the process.

Not exactly a donkey and the rest of the field is in much poorer form. Granted that doesnt necessarily mean the favourite will win but I think theres a decent chance here.

Lay the Fav for a guaranteed profit like the previous offer I guess? Specially when the Fav didn’t win that race and it was a more likely winner than this one.

FAV odds is higher than previous offer like this so won’t be as much in for guaranteeing profit I don’t think

so how does this offer work, do we back and lay the fav and hope he wins?

No, back and lay any horse except for the Fav. Get quali losses down as far as possible then lay the fav so your total stake + liability (on the fav) equals £20 (the extraction from £25 freebet)

Current odds (2.26) gets £8.85, then minus quali loss.

I kind of get it, but not 100%. Pick whichevers best for qualifying loss (obviously not anything that could be the fave). Let say to pick a figure out the air I lose £2.

How do I then work out what I’m laying on the fave ?

You can either just lay enough to get your qualifying loss back or you can add as much more as you want depending on how confident you are that the fav will win. I like to make sure im at least winning something whereas others like the risk free gamble.

Think I’ve got my head round it, cheers. Odds are pretty far off right now.

Well I’ve managed to guarantee either £6 if the fav wins or £5 if it doesn’t

The odds are just shocking on this race.

haha typical. Got £10 profit out of it but Fav won, so could’ve been an extra tenner up if I’d held out. Oh well, not bad really.

    Get in.

£2 qual loss was worth the punt on favourite winning seen as he dropped to such short odds
