Just my brain sleepless.

If Sky Bet had won, that would have been £550 returned so £450 profit.

Whack the £450 on at smarkets to place.

Fair enough – that’s what experience is. I use Tricky but thought there may be better.
Whacking £450 on smarkets though – did you put it all on at once or in stages. There was never much liquidity about every time I looked. Probably you hoovering it up.

Yeah thats why I mentioned its a bit nervy.

The lay was 1.33 when I looked so I stuck £450 in at 1.34 to minimise the risk of not getting a full match. It still took a good 5-10 minutes and I imagine much easier at the weekend. Worst case scenario would have been to do it in chunks at different prices using a calculator.

I prefer to get the big payout when the bookie bet wins. That way if the big win flags up your account at least you have taken a big win. So I went risk free on the wrong side! But there was some method to my madness.

Worst thing would be if the horse doesn’t place you end up breaking even and you get restricted since your bet at the bookie won and they didnt like that.

Thats fair enough FoG and i may do that in future but its best to look at the race and the quality of the field. In my opinion that was a clear two horse race so the underlay was worth it.

Just one more question Chris. Hope you don’t mind me picking that brain of yours.

Would that not be increasing the exchange place odds – and make it more difficult to fully match?.

Great to hear you guys smashing this now… i use Chris stratergy… bet on sky whatever i stand to win on sky put that exact amount on too place at the exchange… then either win a decent amount or break even … nothing lost!
No need for calculators.
A little side note… ive found the best time to find these is 10-20 mins before race is set to go off so before show prices… keep sky NTP open and TBP open on exchange account! Betfair tends to have more liquidity during week so happy to lose 5% of winnings… good luck lads!
