Sportingbet – acca insurance

  • So recently they have started paying me the refund as cash back to my balance. I think I have to roll it over once before withdrawing but seems to be full stake returned.

Anyone else noticed and know what is going on?

  • New to matched betting?

My Matched Betting Academy is the best place to get started. Learning the fundamentals takes 10-15 minutes and you’ll make £15 in the process.

FoG, I got a refund earlier today – just the usual free bet.

I got a freebet too today

But fog, meant to ask if u do their Mb2nd offers too- or swerve them to preserve the account for the acca offer?

I too had the refund by way of the usual free bet.

That said they appear to have had an issue with their site today so perhaps that may explain why you (FoG) have received a refund by way of cash which is rather nice!

I’ve had 1 refund last weekend and 2 now this weekend as cash. It comes up as combi bonus instead of free bet promotion is the transaction history.

Maybe I got lucky but seems to happening consistently now.

Yeah betman, I don’t find much value in the races they pick in any case, so skipping the horses more for that reason but thinking too it will preserve the account. Don’t think they do bog either which makes me less inclined to do anything on their horses.

@ Foggy, I’ve just had a normal FB from them today.

Changing the subject, would you say that the World Cup Qualifiers provide more reliable results than a usual weekends footie. Almost all my accas over the last few days have either won or I have earned a FB, I have a few outstanding but if memory serves, I am already in a FB position with them.

I realised it would take a huge sample of results before one could say anything with a reasonable degree of reliability, but I can’t imagine most weekends are as good as this one has been.

Well in a way international football is harder to predict as the teams come together so rarely compared to almost twice every week for the club teams.

So in that way I think it’s harder for the bookies and the market to have a lot of confidence in the odds they come up with. So in that way less reliable.

But in terms of the mismatches that are served up it definitely throws up a lot of short favourites which is a big plus.

Usually can find better value on an international week for that reason.

But reliable isn’t really the word. Scotland didn’t beat Canada, Belgium slipped up against Greece, Andora got a draw this weekend and Netherlands were defeated by unfancied Bulgaria.

Sounds like you’re doing quite well on the old accas. I find periods of breaking even or small losses with a day now and again with huge wins but still a looming danger of losing everything. Thise periods of winning nothing and losing £100’s with no return but an odd free bet are much rarer than the weekends where you seem to win most accas.

It also depends on how good or how much time you spend spreading out the legs. For example Belgium hit me pretty bad, or if Germany had stumbled yesterday would have wiped out a lot of acca’s for big loss. On the other hand since they won I had some decent wins..

Hey FOG are you the ACCA expert on here mate? Mind a few questions

    FoG_BLoG 47

No experts here ncfc. Just some ppl that have been around longer I guess. But we are all trying to learn and share from and with each other…..

Throw your questions out and if ppl can they will help.

By the way, back on the topic, I have got the free bets as free bets now today. So don’t know why sometimes lately I am getting a combi bonus and it is added to the balance, and sometimes a free bet promotion and it’s the usual stake not returned job.

    My Q FOgBlog:

    1) Tried to but couldn’t find any articles with guides on accas on here not even in the strategy page? Can you guide me a link where I could see what the tactics are?
    2) Read in your old posts you make around 1000EURO per month from accas only, can you explain what it takes for me to do the same? What budget, which bookies and do you do this everyday?
    3) Only thing I know is you’re putting an acca with short odds and if one leg loses you get a refund. I’ve read there are diff. methods like sequential lay, lay at the start etc. What are the advantages of each tactic and which do you use? Cheers FOG.

I’ve been doing these on and off, getting into regularly going for it properly now. As FOG says we can all contribute so…

    1. Search the forum using the tool on the right for ACCA insurance, you may even find a still working calculator for lay sequential. I’m on phone at minute so a link is a ball ache.

    2. Budget depends on your method, I’d suggest 2k exchange and 500 amongst bookies. Paddy, Paddy shops, Hills, Ladbrokes, Betway(£10fb), McLean, Sportingbet, Coral, Betfred. You have to look at terms and adjust accordingly, for example sportingbet all legs have to be on the same day so laying sequential can’t be done. I’d say £1000 per month is pushing it, but possible if using all bookies and good matches every week.

    3. I use a mix of sequential and no lay, no lay for the weird terms like sportingbet and sequential for the easy £10 per £50 stake at Hills. As FOG says everything but sequential there’s a risk of ruin where no fb or wins come through for weeks and your cash dries up. If you have oddsmonkey they help you out with choosing legs but I’d suggest mixing it up a bit or the gubbing stick may bite.(choosing same legs as every bugger else and/or including Chinese league 3 matches)

    Thanks feltip

    A note on the profit.

Each acca has a well defined value that the calculator will calculate based on back and lay odds – usually 10% to 20% of the stake.

To make £1000 per month you need to stake at least £5000 per month or £166 per day.

£166 is really easy on Saturday (basically 5 on sporting bet, 1 on betvictor and 1 on dafabet for example). Repeat for Sunday and often one or two days midweek as well.

The rest of the week is a struggle to keep hitting 166 but you can make up the difference by being getting really competitive free bet extraction or hunting really hard to increase the value of your accas – sometimes 30% or more value is possible.

It’s just a numbers game. Do as many as you can.

    Oh, forgot to ask Fog.

Paddy inshop coupons with acca insurance. They do special offers on the top of the coupon, like this week is 4 away wins with guaranteed odds of 9/1, have you ever done this and if so been refused? Seems too good to be true. For example right now I can get a 10/8.7 acca arb which would otherwise be 7.5/8.7 normal odds.

If you don’t know what I’m on about, no worries.

    FoG_BLoG 47

Didn’t know anything about that felt.

Grabbed the coupons there. Are you talking about Croatia, Lincoln, Argentina and Mexico?

I think Lincoln odds are drifting so not making it as much value now and by kickoff who knows. But it’s a good spot.

The others are 8 or 9 leg accas on the home side, didn’t check.

It’s only worth a few pound on a £50 acca as it is.

Don’t go to shops anymore much lately, is it often that there is an arb on those guaranteed odds?

    Interesting.

    +0
    feltt1p 5

    Aye they’re the 4.

Would be underlaying at 10/8.7 for potential £50. Didn’t realise Lincoln was drifting but who knows come kick off. As for if this happens often, yeah usually one of the ‘boosts’ works out well, just never actually tried to put relatively large stakes.
