It looks like this is paid back as cash rather than as a free bet so no point in laying the bet off, is that right?
So if you back United (currently at 2.3) and they don’t win then we’ll get £5 back if do win get £11.50 back.

Is that the best method to use?

Best method is to use Matt’s risk free setting on the calculator to guarantee £3-£4 profit regardless of result, otherwise you’ll lose a little on the lay bet and potentially the bet will win so you’ll lose money, or if the bet loses you’ll just get your fiver back. Otherwise could be worth simply punting it as if the bet loses you’ll be no worse off, this is all about matched being though so I’m going to lock in £7-£8 across the two matches hopefully.

ah right of course I get it – on the calculator as this is cash back we put £5 as we will get the full value of the £5 bet. makes sense now!

Look for high odds on this. You should be looking to guarantee at least £4 win or lose off one £5 free bet.

I’m taking No team to score @ 17/2. Lay is 10.5 for no score to guarantee £3.97.

0-0 is 8/1 but no goals under the first team to score market is 17/2 so that’s the one to go for.

Anyway I don’t intend to fully lay as totally risk free here. If there are no goals then no free bet on paddy power or on bet stars offer – so using as kind of an insurance.

From memory I think the terms stated that the free bet would be credited within 72 hours.
