well if you back highland lodge @ 17.0 ew that equates to two bet 20 @ 17.0 to win and 20 @ 5.0 to place.

Match both bets on the exchange. Win is 19.0 and to place is 5.7.

So will cost you £5.19 in total qualifying loss.

BUT if he finishes in 5th you win the bookie bet and you don’t have to pay out the exchange bet, you actually win that one too.

So you win £98.81.

It’s effective odds of 17/1 for him to finish 5th. It’s a gamble but you decide if it’s worth it.

I’m not advising highland lodge, just taking it as an example. Really you need to look for much much lower qualifying losses.

Smarkets glitching a lot for anyone else? Seems very erratic compared to betfair.

Odds freezing, tons of liquidity one moment gone in the blink of an eye. Horses with no liquidity at all for minutes (in big C4 races).

I’m gubbed from Betfair. I can’t see that the 5th place offer is a ‘promotion’ per se. From what I can see I’m still eligible to bet on it. Can anyone put my mind at rest?

Interesting offer from expekt, worth keeping an eye on the odds each day as could be dutched with the Stars offer to guarantee a freebet should the match go to OT.

Was anybody else on Betfred’s double of Tasleet and Power Game? They boosted it to 5.5. Tasleet came in on the underlay, and wasn’t sure on Power Game but also underlayed rather than locking in profit.

Big mistake, could’ve walked away with £50 there I think as the odds came in so much. Hedged my bets with 365 on Gabriels Kaka however, so still got £40+ but again, luck just not in this week.
