What happens if your team wins the final? Obviously you can’t use the resulting £5 free bet on the tournament.

Germany drifted to 3.75/4 with betfair but still only a QL of c£2.50.

Well if they win the final then I guess there’d be no free bet as if you were mug punting then your outright back bet would have won anyway.

The U21 final is before the Confederations Cup final though if you wanted to try and maximise free bet returns.

Just because you don’t lay it doesn’t make it a ‘mug punt’. It’s still a value bet, and people making value bets would probably still want the freebet

Portugal 3.5/3.65 was what I went for. And england at 11/12.

Is it worth punting £25 on Portugal (3.50) & if they get out of the group, would the lay odds reduce?

I have no idea what the groups are, if they are nailed on to get out of the group then qualification alone won’t shift odds much. If they aren’t playing great, or germany are then Portugal may qualify but the odds drift.
You can still get on and cover the ql with one win/freebet. So you could look at it they most won one game, then anything beyond is free money

This strikes me as an offer that you should just have a punt on with one of the favs.

You should expect to make your money back from the free bets and you have a chance at a decent payout.

Qualified for confederations cup but traders only let me put £10 on for Uefa u21, tying up £10 stake, and the odds are horrible…going to let it run and see how my team gets on.

Should be profitable if qualifying team win at least 2 games…LOL
