What are your experiences of multi accounting?

  • The amount of profit that could be added by including a few more accounts (especially with all the new sign up offers on top) is enticing yet people can get real funny over money and whilst I do feel there are at least 3 people I could ‘trust’, you just never know how people will react when they see the turnover from match betting.

Turnover vs profit is obviously something I need to explain in detail…but what are people’s experiences…has it ever gone wrong playing in someone else’s name? Do you stick to very close family, or have you trusted friends?

Really considering it, but would love to hear some of your experiences so I can know what to expect…has anyone ever had a real close friend/family member cause a problem when you have been using an account in their name?

  • New to matched betting?

My Matched Betting Academy is the best place to get started. Learning the fundamentals takes 10-15 minutes and you’ll make £15 in the process.

The issue of being robbed by your mate isn’t too high, as the majority of your cash will be in your exchange or the mate’s bookie accounts that you have control over… Not sitting in the bank account as it’s not necessary unless you’re going high stakes ew arbing etc. Couple of hundred max. In theory you should have control over the bank account too as a new current account is the best way to go, stops the money mixing.

Cheers mate, was planning on using Paypal and not messing about with bank accounts…would be a lot easier to get any withdrawals from bookie accounts ‘back to base’, that is my thinking anyway 🙂

Have you multi accounted, what kind of % of profits do you give, or do you just do a set amount to start etc?

Ask me anything you want to know about multiaccounting and I’ll answer (and yes it’s very much worth it)

I was thinking of setting up new accounts in my Mum’s name. Now, if I was working at a bookie I would be all over accounts set up by 70 year old women! To me it just screams duplicate account and I’d be carefully monitoring it for arbs, bonus abuse etc.

Has anyone any experience of this and whether certain demographic profiles are more susceptible to quick gubbings/restrictions?

    Cheers Harry, here goes 🙂

1- Could I get a cheap (but good for internet, let’s say £15 a month range) smartphone in each person’s name, that I would pay for but keep as my own for matched betting purposes, using only mobile data so the phone is never matched with my IP address?

2- I’m planning to use Paypal for each person’s account and use Paypal to deposit and withdraw, do Paypal ever kick up a fuss with this sort of thing- as in thousands of pounds floating back and forth between Paypal accounts?

3- You ever had any issues with people wanting more of a cut than agreed once they see how much money has been made?

Appreciate any help, the 4/1 and 3/1 offers alone would be worth it so really need to get going!

I hear people describing Multiaccounting as a “grey area” legally. Can anyone share their thoughts on this?

1: I’m not sure about the prices mate I have 3 laptops at home that I use and not paying for any internet just using a VPN but if you’re not stingy I’d advise getting new devices with different internets however I’ve never had any problems using the same internet but through a VPN.

2: You’re with me here as Paypal I use on each account there’s no problems but after you reach 2.5k in transactions you need to pass an easy verification check with them just send them id cards and answer some security questions.

3: Unfortunately yes but my cousin is a dumb one so I’ve played him: I give him my weekly 5FB from Skybet and as he doesn’t understand MB I say I barely make around 200 a month.

Oh yeah if you’re looking to do the bet365 4/1 offer the VPN method of mine doesn’t work as bet365 are the only bookie who you can’t log in using a VPN.

Cheers Harry, not really sure about VPN, but don’t mind paying £15 or so a month for a phone so it is 100% going to be a different device/IP address per account.

    1. Agree with this, but I use a 4G tablet as it’s easier to navigate websites and use a loaded sim card which is hell of a lot cheaper. For example (probably cheaper elsewhere) a quick search is £40 for 24GB that’ll easily last you 2 years.

    2. Is fine but there are checks at a certain large volume checkpoint. Plus we bookies don’t take PayPal, plus it’s not possible to have 2 accounts I believe so if they already have one you take it over which could be a problem if they use it for their own internet transactions/eBay etc

    3. Of course, its natural. They get their cut then recalculate how much that equates to overall (so £50 at 15% is £335) meaning they could in theory have made £285 more doing it themselves.

As far as IP addresses go I’m really not sure bookies check these. But if you are concerned use a mobile mi-fi, every time you re boot it will have a different IP address and mobile data from three is as cheap as chips these days- £24.99 for 12gb, that will keep you going forever if you just use it to place bets.

Where is the best place to get the mobile wi-fi from? I was looking on three but I’ve been told that remaining data doesn’t get carried over on 1 month plans.

Not on 1 month plans, but you can check pre-loaded sims below. The best deal seems to be 12gb for £24.99 valid for up to 12 months.

Thanks for your reply Steve. So it is just data sims that you can get on pay as you go and not mi-fi, dongles etc?

Still not sure what the best route is. This, vpn or vps?

About to enter this world myself…

    1. Why do people use a VPN – what advantage does it give over a dongle / MiFi?

    2. Using a dongle / MiFi and rebooting, different IP addresses can be readily obtained, but do the bookies not also have access to/check MAC address for duplication, which would reveal if a single device is being used for multiple accounts?

    1. A VPN doesn’t have advantages over mifi it’s just an alternative. If you use a free VPN you will be using an IP address that’s very common, this may make bookies suspicious.

    2. MAC addresses do not travel further than the first piece of networking equipment, bookies (or anyone else for that matter) cannot see them.

hfc. A data sim goes into a mifi/dongle, you will need both to follow this method.
