Will Hill, MBS tomorrow @ Ascot

  • Their mobile site *CLAIMS* it’s MBS tomorrow at 4 races at Ascot.

  • New to matched betting?

My Matched Betting Academy is the best place to get started. Learning the fundamentals takes 10-15 minutes and you’ll make £15 in the process.

Yeh I got one fog, I usually have to prompt them but it was there pretty quickly today.

Definitely looks like I’m done. Agent on live chat repeating like a parrot that I have a restriction added to my account but seems to have great difficulty in explaining what I am restricted from. Free bets? Stake restriction? Enhanced offers?

Was finally gubbed myself today, but did at least receive email notification. I’d already placed my bets in the morning, so they did honour my 2 qualifying free bets. Does only show 1 FB on their desktop site, but both via mobile, so may be worth checking both.

They make no sense. I didn’t get any email notification. I didn’t even notice that I was on reduced stakes. They have repeated the below spiel to me three times now. All I want to know is if the restriction includes money back promotions.

Supervisor Pearl: I can confirm that the decision to apply the restriction to your account has come following a thorough review. Our Trading Department continually monitors accounts and are responsible for acting in the best interests of the business. They have made a conscious decision that it is no longer economically viable to accept your desired level of business, explaining the reduced staking opportunities you have experienced.
Supervisor Pearl: Although I am unable to give you a specific reason as to why these have been applied, I can confirm that you are still able to enjoy other William Hill products such as Poker, Bingo, Games, and Casino.
Supervisor Pearl: I understand the frustration this may have caused you; however, this is ultimately the best way we feel to manage your account based on the business we receive.

Yes, I’m done – thats 888sport, betway, betfred, paddy power, ladbrokes, skybet and now william hill all gone.

Will hill never informed me because I had set my contact preferences to ‘do not contact’ when I set the account up 10+ years ago.

I have a few of the smaller bookie’s still alive, and can try totesport, betvictor, stan james and a few others even just for the sign up bonuses.

I’ll probably be giving it a break and a think before coming back under a friends account.

I think that if you are winning they will get you regardless – its not right to mug bet or hide your match betting to the point that you are running a loss. I can probably make a change to my behaviour but do I want the accounts to last twice as long but only earn half the money?

I mug betted a bit on hill, but that might have back fired on me, two of my mug acca’s won – one which I won over €1000 on a 5 fold horse before Christmas and last week a €300 win on a treble.

For those fans of the “don’t withdraw” theory – I haven’t withdrawn from Will since Feb. Its obvious that they do a clear down every so often as so many ppl seem to be hit at the same time.

I agree it’s more to do with if you keep winning bets they will take you down regardless!

Yep, I got gubbed from William Hill yesterday too. Mug betted fairly regularly as well.

It seems they didn’t like me using their MBS offer on 2 races yesterday.

I wouldn’t mind, except that I haven’t been particularly successful with them. I think my last free bet was during Cheltenham, so I guess that it’s not necessarily the total value taken from the bookie that triggers a gubbing, but more the frequency of offers that are taken. Which is a shame, but there you go.
