William Hill New Horse Racing Offer

  • Hi all. I’m fairly new to matched betting so still getting to grips how to play certain offers. My first thought was this looks good but not sure how to play it. Any advice??

    HIGH 5
    Our New Horse Racing Offer

One in three National Hunt (jumps) races were won by five or more lengths last season.

With that in mind, we give you our new racing offer – High 5. Place a bet on selected jumps meetings, and if a horse wins by 5 or more lengths…

» Back the winner and you’ll get a 25% bonus.
» Finish second and get money back as a free bet.

There’s a High 5 meeting every single day:
    ‣ Friday and Saturday – All jumps meetings.
    ‣ Sunday to Thursday – One selected meeting.
    ‣ All live Channel 4 races

It all starts this Friday, just in time for the top class racing at Cheltenham’s three day Open Meeting.

So if your horse romps home, or finishes behind a clear winner, we’ve got this jumps season covered.

got all 3 races today at taunton – total of £113 in free bets – about £7 ql overall and pulled £97 from free bets … pretty good for 2 hours of on/off effort

So matchedem, lets have a list of the horses you’ve done for today at Huntingdon. Really keen to get involved with those big profits you’re apparently making and be good to know about what you’ve done beforehand rather than a few hours after the last race.

Ok well here are my first three anyway:

    13.20 – Vinnie Lewis 6.5/5.8 (£25)
    13.50 – Burbank 1.5/not layed yet (£200)
    14.20 – Wait A Second 6/5.8 (£25)

Be a friend and help out with the rest matchie.

Chris, how do you manage to keep QL so low? Every time I try these I seem to be losing £2 on £25 bets, typically getting 6/6.2 or around that QL.

    Cheers

Northandsouth (220) + Master Blueyes (250)….those are the winners FACT!

320 doesnt count as not enough runners…not looked into the last race yet

You should never be taking £2 QL on these bets. The odds are there, you just need to keep an eye on them and bet at the right time. I tend to do early prices although sometimes it doesnt always work, Burbank for example has drifted so I havent made as much a QL profit as I hoped for.

With the amount of time I have to watch the odds change while at work if I didn’t take the £1-£2 QL then I wouldn’t get any bets on!

Are there any general rules you go by? Back early and leave it for a while to lay?

I agree that the odds are there, but I also think say if the ideal is £1 QL taking £2 per race is only another £6 per meeting. And with the chances of winning plus the addition of potential BOG’s I’d say take £2 loss rather than not doing it at all….my FACTSTATS show this is true too FACT

Also worth saying I’d take a £3/£4 loss on an odds on shot if needs be…as if a horse is so short in price it can’t be more than say 2/1 to win by 5 lengths hence giving great value still. Similar a £1 loss on a 66/1 shot isn’t great so do think aobut the horse!

On a £25 bet I make sure the odds are a match or arb, nothing less.

Yes boom on the 1.50 race, BOG profit and free bet.

Problem i seem to have on BOG is im a viktim of my own success…like today all the horse i have backed have then been backed by others
