Hi all. I’m fairly new to matched betting so still getting to grips how to play certain offers. My first thought was this looks good but not sure how to play it. Any advice??

New to matched betting?
My Matched Betting Academy is the best place to get started. Learning the fundamentals takes 10-15 minutes and you’ll make £15 in the process.

Also thanks for the list tony very helpful
+02.5/2.88 1.30 was 2.52 then by time the william hill confirmed my bet the race starts and goes upto 2.88 :/ down £8 already hows anyone else getting on
+04 hours -£18 , would have been worse of I didnt skip a few races because ql were too high. **** day.
+0@jamieek Looks like you had a tough day but don’t give up. I didn’t have much time today and only went for 3 races, but all gave a qualifying profit (about £4 total) so didn’t lose out at least (also didn’t win any free bets).
I hate large Qual loses so sometimes miss out on a race. The only thing I try (and I’m certainly no expert so I’m sure others can give their views) is to look at the odds about 10 to 15 mins before the start. Watch the favourites for a few minutes and you’ll normally see the odds shorten on one (on the exchange). As they shorten and before they get too close to the bookmaker odds that’s when you have to make a decision and decide to jump on it (wait too long and the bookmaker will shorten their odds, and you start again.). Place the back bet but hope the odds continue to shorten on the exchange and eventually drop below the back odds (or at least get very close to have a low QL).
This is what I did today and had a Qual profit on each. Of course there’s no guarantee, odds can suddenly change and go the other way, but I find it much better than just looking at the odds on both bookmaker and exchange and taking the best you can at that moment in time (and if you were lucky that there was an arb due to slow bookmaker you may be taking a risk to getting gubbed quicker).
This means you often get an arb but with 4 or 5 minutes between the back and lay, so won’t be noticed by the bookmaker.
If anyone else has tips on how they get the best QL would be interested to hear.
+0Start smaller as well if you’re not sure.
There’s a lot of hype in this post about backing big to get the 25% win bonus, but whilst it’s yielded decent returns it’s also got ppl gubbed. Don’t rush into that approach till u r ready to hammer them. If you learn on £10 bets on 3-1 shots for example you should have low ql’s and a shot at £7.50/ £10 with 1st/2nd+0The way I see this offer, is backing £50 to £100 on short priced odds under 2.00 and hope they win by 5 lengths or more. The amount of races that are 5 lengths or more is small, I have hit 3 winners in the last 2 days over the High 5 amount, but only £25 to £50, all have been under 2.00. You have to be very lucky to win a lot or psychic to predict who is going to win over 5. Unless you have got accounts to burn, better to wait until Cheltenham festival and clean up.
+014:45@Plumpton today won by 4.5 lengths!!!!
+0Thanks for your input Tornado. I’ve been on the exchanges for alot of these races and the low QL simply aren’t there on about 50%;or they are there but hill moves the quickly enough so you cant get on them. Sure you can gamble for a low ql but that doesnt make the race anymore profitable, its a gamble on the actual ql, which is the odds that are available to take there and then.
+02 out of 2 so far at Leicester today.
Soft ground and long home straight a good combination I think.
+0Wincanton today for this offer
16:15 – Ask The Weatherman looks nailed on to return a 25% profit boost. Currently 1.61/1.65 but worth watching
+0Good call, thanks for pointing that one out Tony!
