2 Sharbs for tonight

  • Got a midweek easy slip today at pp. can see Chelsea are 4/6 (1.67) currently laying at 1.57. Also cork are 6/5 (2.2) and that’s currently laying at 2.

Not going to do it but want to know if I walked into a paddy shop what’s the most I can do.

I can see the highest is 100 on the sheet so is this the highest. E.g do bet 1 Chelsea and bet 2 cork placing 100 on each?

Just interested coz I could go round the 4 shops and bet 800 but of course easier to do it in one shop.

  • New to matched betting?

My Matched Betting Academy is the best place to get started. Learning the fundamentals takes 10-15 minutes and you’ll make £15 in the process.

The thing I worry about is, as when you go to the counter with the slip the odds might have changed and they’ll tell you. Of course, if they’ve changed you’ll no longer want to place the bet.
To me just looks dodgy always saying no I don’t want to bet anymore, when i’m sure most people probably say yes as they don’t care if the odds have changed slightly.

Who cares if it looks dodgy?

From my recent visits to a couple of PP shops this weekend, the employees working really did seem bored and uninterested. I really don’t think they would care if you decide not to place a bet with them.

If the odds change, do they still honour the prices on those sheets?

No you have to take the new price

You really need to go to shops. Where staff look disinterested and don’t give a hoot.

Beesty do you go in to these shops on a regular basis?. Because you mention placing £800 quid in one shop.

If i was a manager that would set the alarm bells ringing especially if your doing the cork game.

I am wondering how this would work if you had an insider in the shop.

Just for the interests of the forum. Walked into the shop as its next door to the chip shop. Anyway went on the Monday coupon which was slightly different and decided to a tenner double to see what happened. Got Chelsea at 8/13 which was on the sheet but cork were 6/4. Anyway when placing this they gave me 10/11 on cork.
The lady didn’t mention to me that the odds have changed. So got a tenner double where I win a shade over 30 if they come in.

I didn’t mention anything as was doing it as an exploration.

The prices on the coupon are a guide… they can change just like the horse prices…. best to ask the staff what price the teams are and they will get a price on the screen to see if has changed!

Paddies can sometimes change, it’s strange but it is absolutely no problem to refuse the price, I do it all the time, I tell them thatnits higher in the competitor’s shop down the road, they say fair enough and everyone is happy

Is it better to place your bets early, so there is less chances of price changes or wait till say Saturday morning. When bookies have more info on team selection, injuries, etc, etc.

You can’t really place them too early cause then you wouldnt even now if it was an arb or not and would be hoping lay odds went in your favour…
