Good call. Quite likely the fav will win too. At 10/11 right now.

Favourite does look strong but wont be his favourite distance or ground. Definitely worth a low qualifying loss though and who knows if we pick a winner, it may benefit from guaranteed odds.

Possible to get guarunteed profit here? Just lay the fav so liability is half of fb extraction? So around £10

Laying the fav is an option so if it wins you get the free bet…if it loses your lay wins, however, usually its just more profitable to let it run

Can you talk me through this. How would this guarantee profit? Would you back a different horse at Sky?

The Qualifying Losses are looking horrifying on this one. In the region of £4.50 or so

    Why Cookie?

If gambling fair enough! But this is a Matched Betting Site!

Therefore we are looking at taking advantage of the Sky offer.

A quick read of the terms and conditions for this offer will tell you that the refund is on losing bets if the SP fav wins.

So if the Fav loses no refunds for anybody.

Fav wins everyone eligible will get a refund for losing bets.

    But read the T & C

You mean lay the fav…that would result in profit either way but probably not much.

If you back favourite and lay, if favourite wins there is best odd guaranteed….or am I wrong in saying so?

Assuming you backed – let’s say – Chic Theatre at 6 with a lay of 7.8 as it stands right at this second.

That would lose you £6.11 if the favourite didn’t win. So an insurance policy would simply be laying the favourite at odds of 1.94 for £6.23 (the loss amount plus the 2% for Smarkets commission).

It’s not ideal, but would see a loss of £5.86 however there would be the award of a £25 free bet, or no loss whatsoever and no free bet.

Not sure if you are winding us all up! Or genuinely do not understand the offer!

You could do as you say back and lay fav, basically looking for a positive return so better lay odds than back odds and BOG is available on this race (individual account conditions permitting) but you can do that for any race.

BOG only applys if the SP price is higher than the price you take when striking the bet.

Sky are top price already for the fav and odds could shorten or lengthen.
