365 channel 4/1 offer – help please!

  • Hi, hoping someone can help please.  I placed bets this morning for the two Bet365 channel 4/1 offer races today.  Thing is, if my first horse wins, does that mean the horse I’ve bet on the second race automatically becomes my risk free bet?  Or would I need to place another bet on the race?

  • New to matched betting?

My Matched Betting Academy is the best place to get started. Learning the fundamentals takes 10-15 minutes and you’ll make £15 in the process.

The risk free bet is on the next feature race. It’s all on the offer terms, so have a good read of them to get your head around it.

If your first horse wins its my understanding that the bet already placed becomes the risk free bet. Therefore you’ll need to make some adjustments to the lay bet.

My advice would be to just do them one by one, as it keeps the maths simple and avoids odds movements.

Ok cheers. Yeah I would normally do the same, just saw some favourable odds on the second race and wanted to get on it before they shortened!

IMO, if you see good odds on the second race it’s still well worth taking before the first is settled. You’ll have at least ensured that you’re all set up with a good chance of retrieving a full £50 providing that that horse then loses. Or, as beaser says, you could then tweak your sums to guarantee you extract some money from the risk-free.

At least that way you don’t risk just accidentally missing your chance of a risk free bet for the next race – not done it yet, but I’d be gutted!
