ACCA (again sorry!)
-
Hi Guys,
First post in a while!Thought it was time I started on the Acca’s. I feel the best method for me personally is the Lay all at the start method, I presume the no lay method is probably more beneficial, however guess i’m just a wimp!
Result Bookmaker Exchange Your Profit
All win (24%) £68 -£40 £28
1 lose (40%) -£5 -£7.50 -£12.50
2 lose (26%) -£25 £25 £0
3 lose (9%) -£25 £57.50 £32.50
4 lose (1%) -£25 £90 £65
All lose (0.1%) -£25 £122.50 £97.50I found the above online, this is based off a £25 stake and back and lay odds of 1.3/1.32. I assume this is correct?
Any tips would be appreciated!

New to matched betting?
My Matched Betting Academy is the best place to get started. Learning the fundamentals takes 10-15 minutes and you’ll make £15 in the process.

Think im going to have a bit of a cock up here.. WH is no odds on certain leagues including scottish. So I usually always put Celtic in.
Just noticed their playing in the scottish cup today and not the league and somehow their currently losing 1-0 so I might not get my £50 free bet, would be quite a loss.
+0Should still expect Celtic to win. At least the markets do, betfair exchange has 7/1+ on st mirren to win despite them 1-0 up after 32 mins now.
Hope for your sake and more importantly my sake that they make a come back.
+0Threw a few free bets on St Mirren at 1-0 at 14/1 but still, I just didn’t think to check if it was a cup match guessing they wouldn’t give me a free bet then.
+0Scottish cup is min odds 1.2 by the looks of it RyanB, I’d never realised either!
+0Yup, i need to be more careful. Shouldn’t assume its in the league as it will come back to bite me next time!
+0Celtic came up on odds monkey and other cups were covered so assumed it was OK
Was my third leg, layed the last 2 for guaranteed profit rather than risk a total loss if 1 falls
+0Hi guys, I have been trying these accas recently, quick question about the WH terms.
“Any subsequent bet(s) that contains the same selections will not count towards the offer.”
I can’t figure out whether this means all the same selections or just 1/2/3 matches.
For example two accas I have on use Real Madrid, Barcelona and spurs for the same matches. Will the second one not qualify for the insurance due to this?
I also assume this depends on whether only one leg from the first loses and I get the insurance? If two or more lose then the second would be okay?
Thanks for the help.
+0Hi Chris
With Hills as long as each acca finishes on a different day you should be fine to include the same games as long as the last game is different, which it would be obviously. That’s how I play it anyway and have been fine so far!+0Thanks biscuit. They do, had city let me down on the first game last night so I did another today that ends on Monday with only two different games.
+0Some bookies are sticky about the settlement date. If you have 5 legs today on acca 1, and 4 legs today and 1 tomorrow on acca 2. If one leg on both lose today then both accas will be settled as losing today. Technically the settlement date is today.
I can’t comment on will hill and most seem to be okay with spreading accas across different days so long as the last leg is different day each. But BetMcLean pulled this on me and wouldn’t pay a refund for me because the accas “settled” on the same day despite the last leg on diff days.
+0That makes sense, however the insurance is decided in the following matches, e.g acca 2 could lose the second game tomorrow and not be eligible for the insurance. As all the games must finish and the result be known before the FB is issued (or not), which I think is by midday after the settlement date (last game) so as long as this is different days the hills one should be okay?
Cheers
+0If you have an acca that has had 0 or 1 losing leg going into the last leg then obviously that acca can’t be settled until the last leg has been played.
So by having acca’s that finish on different days then there’s no chance of you not being awarded the refund on a technicality.
Obviously if 2 legs lose before then it’s acca over anyway, all in my opinion anyway.I have not ever not got a refund yet with one losing leg.+0The point is biscuit if 1 leg loses its settled then. Shows in your settled bets not unsettled
I had never thought about it like that before, but technically mclean are right. Fortunately I think everyone else goes on last leg
+0Quick question that I couldn’t find the answer to elsewhere – how do people recommend extracting 80% from an SNR refund, such as BetVictor? It feels like it requires a sequential lay with higher than usual odds for each leg, but is it as simple (and onerous) as that?
+0Yes arb.
For the sake of a tenner though I don’t think variance will kill you – it’s safe enough to just leave the qualifying acca and the free bet acca run without laying.
Otherwise it’s hardly worth playing for a couple of £.
