Accumulator sites

  • Hi everyone.. newbie here! I’m looking to get into this next month so trying to get my research done and understanding (with a bit of difficulty!) Just wondered if you have to sign up to one of the subscription based matched betting sites to get started?

  • New to matched betting?

My Matched Betting Academy is the best place to get started. Learning the fundamentals takes 10-15 minutes and you’ll make £15 in the process.

Nah, you don’t need any sites really, just go through the sign up offers of all major bookies, you can find them by either looking at the individual promotions page for each site, or typing ‘sign up offers’ into google., after that you’ll have an abundance of reload offers via email.

You can join one of those sites if you’re struggling finding the offers yourself, but most of the tools the paid for sites offer are freely available, try the calculators on here or trickybet.

You don’t really need an odds matcher either in fact I’d recommend not bothering with one, just get on big events, premier league markets are normally pretty in line with the exchanges.

When you get free bets just put them on anything to return about 75%, any match such as 7.00/8.00 will do this, you don’t need to get every last drop of value out of a free bet, you’ll just get gubbed.

Thanks Dan42 ! Very helpful advice.
So free bets 7.00/8.00 and qualifiying bets 1.5/2.0 ?
Tbh im already signed up to a few well known betting sites so probably wont get as many sign up offers!
Can I ask, say I just want to put a fiver on a bet (no free bet or qualifying bet- just my own money) would the same “rule” apply as betting the fiver at the bookies and lay bet at the exchange ? Or does matchbetting only kind of work with offers etc ?
    Thanks in advance

I wouldn’t go through any other site to get to the bookies offers- if you see an offer somewhere open a new tab and google it yourself…I clear cookies regularly but I don’t think it helps much – best as Dan says not to take too much value and mix it up a bit – I’ll often use free bet on a horse trixie or football acca – surprising how often they come in…when I used to track every bet I was actually getting a higher return on my ‘mug’ free bets than the matched ones!! If you’re constantly using free bets on horses or anything with odds over 7.0 it will stand out like a sore thumb.

The only reason to back and lay with your own money if not for a free bet would be if there was an arb on the bet i.e. the odds for backing are higher than the odds for laying so you are guaranteed a profit…on a fiver this would usually be pennies and as the exchanges mostly take a commission would not be worth it – also bookies hate arbs and they are fully sighted on them so more likely to get gubbed if arbing … get a good matching calculator and play around with different figures in it to see what changing the odds and free bets/real money variances there are…

also – the offers tab at the top here is really good for offers….’existing customer offers’ on the drop down…

With your qualifying bets 1.5/2.00 is too far apart, you should aim for 2.00/2.05 or maybe at a push 2.10 if it’s a good offer. You will find on matches where there is a good offer the bookies will take some value out of their liability, so you’ll lose a bit more on the QL, for example at the weekend William Hill had their 1up promo running Man United Vs Tottenham. They priced Man United at 3.50 when the exchange was 3.85, but in that instance there was still value in taking Man United with the QL.

With using your own money, if you’re trying to place bets for a bet club or to receive some reload offers, betting £5 on a qualifying market, you’d likely have to put about £4.70 or so on the exchange, you can use the calculator here.

I wouldn’t recommend throwing things on Trixies or unlayable markets because that becomes gambling, even though you may win in the short term due to variance and good old luck – however I’m a bit hypocritical here as I myself have thrown a few £5 free bets on a particularly tempting boost or ACCA.

Finally if you can, don’t use your free bets on horses, stick to Premier League/Champions League, I find horses are the fastest way to a gubbing.
