Advice on documentation

• I’m pretty new and going through the new offers
  so all the site are now asking for photo id, and specific proof of address before withdrawing funds.
  i have a driving licence so no issue on this.
  it all goes a little wrong with proof of address I’ve been living in a long-term flat share for several years, my flat mate handles bills (so no bills with my name on them)
  our last council tax bill is in the shredded and i really don’t what to send out a full bank statement to these company’s over unencrypted email. having my name, DOB, address, bank account number, sort code, account balance all in a single database location seems like more risk that i would like. (my research specialty is cyber security so I’m very aware of the risk of this information stored in servers in not very regulated and pretty corrupt country’s)

  what other document have you guys found to be generally excepted for this prosses that im likely to have in paper (I’ve had several places not except PDFs of documents, so much for paperless)

  (also, what’s up with the random and bazar documentation requests! I had one place ask for a photo containing me, a photo id next to me and a hand-written sigh with their website address and a unique code with a date and time stamp)
