So is it the usual free bets for winners approach?

Eg place £100 on a 1.5 odds would return £150 + £50 bonus bet (which is the maximum free bet) to in total you would expect say £190 return if you use Matts 80% FB extraction.,

If you were able to lay at say 1.51, you would lay

£190 / (1.51-0.02) = £127.52

(The 0.02 subtraction is for the Smarkets commission)

Therefore guaranteed £24.97 from this.

Doubt you’d get that tight odds in practice but would this be the theoretical max?

Just be careful with them though. I’ve got 2 free £5 bets in my account from last week and have just tried to use them. My max stake is now 10p so it’s impossible to use them!!

Look at the markets though – getting a 1.5 bet for any of them will be impossible in play

Am going to try a £10 correct score bet at half time, and try and guarantee a tenner or so

I guess if you opt to place on, lets say Aguero to score first at 5.0, you just use the standard qualifying calculator – apply the back odds at 9.0 as in effect this will work as a price boost if it comes in (4/1 doubled to 8/1) and then place your lay stake at whatever you can find (lets say 7.0 for an example).
So £50 back bet at 9.0
Lay £64.75 at 7.0 (5% comm for Betfair)
Overall profit £11.50
However, as we know, decent odds from BB are hard to come by!

So to work out your effective back odds, apply your free bet extraction rate to the back odds.

e.g. Back odds of 6.0 equates to effective back odds of 10.0 at 80% extraction rate = ((6.0-1.0)*(1.0+0.8))+1.0
