Why not open an account with another mainstream bank? Can all be done online in ~20 minutes perhaps and it’s approved/opened instantly.

Even better take advantage of an account switching offer, I opened a “donor” account with Barclays and switched it to Halifax for £100. All done entirely online, just filling in forms for 30-40 minutes.

Monese just look to be exploiting people’s ignorance.
