Arb between exchanges

Never really looked into it much but it seems there are some opportunities just came across a horse in the 15:35 Newbury One for June, 26 most bookies 20-25 Betfair exchange and 18.5 matchbook with 3k available, anyone had any success with this? I’m assuming someone’s had a shocker or they’re confident so pushing their bank on whatever they can get

+0Assuming there was no discrepancy with non-runners or anything like that I would prefer to trade it once the exchange moves back in line with the rest. Arbing would mean paying a lot in commission .
+0Yeah even betdaq are only marginally off at times, seen quite a few with matchbook recently but none as big as the above. I agree the commission would be a killer but some value is there, either way opportunities like that pop up which shows it could be worth while having some of your exchange float in matchbook, i’ll give it a try and get back to you fellas
+0I’ve got a bot running for horse racing win market between smarkets/betfair – it finds tons when the race is underway but they last for a second. The next part would be for me to automate placing the bots and some failsafes as its impossible to place them manually.
When the race is underway it’ll find several thousand pounds worth of arbs a day. I’m just not sure if my bot would be able to place them though, as you’re competing with other trading bots and regular bets. I think there is definitely money to be made, but probably not the 1000s I see.
