Are different devices necessary for multi accounting?

Sorry if this has been asked on multiple occasions previously. I’m just generally wondering if using different devices for each account is necessary or could you just use the same phone with different sims for each account? Each sim would have a different IP would they not, or is there more to it than this? I understand the MAC address would be the same as it’s the same device but AFAIK websites generally can’t trace this anyway can they?

Hey, i was actually coming back to ask the same thing. I know one matched bettor who uses a lappy for 12 accounts so that’s the direction i’m leaning but i need a laptop anyway. Not quite clear on the set up with a laptop when switching accounts to avoid tracing etc which is what i wanted to query.
