B.O.G On Free Bets

Hi, quick question.

Do you still get BOG paid out if you placed a bet with a Free Bet rather than actual money? If so do you usually experience a delay between the time that the winnings are paid out and then the extra £££ from BOG?

Just had a horse come in on Betfred who I backed at 6/1 and the SP was 8/1, no sign of any winnings from BOG yet. In the Ts and Cs it mentions that ‘Free Bet stakes’ are not eligible – but I assume this just means just the £20 Free bet and not the winnings?#

Should be BOG on any horse racing bet regardless of cash or free bet – definitely.

I’d imagine by “free bet stakes” that they mean bets placed using free bets, so I wouldn’t think that Betfred do pay out BOG on free bets.
Varies from site to site, some bookies don’t, but some like SkyBet do (from my own experience).

Yes it seems to vary, I have gotten BOG on free bets from paddy power – but I never got BOG on free bets on betway.

I found out when I had backed a horse on betway with a free bet at 9/2 and he went and won at 11/1. I was celebrating but BOG never came. Went on live chat and rechecked terms and conditions and realised I wasn’t entitled to it.

Thanks for the replies guys. Still nothing has come in so I’m guessing it must’ve not been eligible.

I’ll wait until tomorrow and maybe get on live chat to double check.
