With criteria this narrow they must be grubbing lots of mug punters whilst trying to get rid of the matched bettors. Or they have now developed software far beyond iesnare, and so know very quickly who needs to be grubbed.

    It’s an epic endemic epidemic…
    Going pandemic
    (wasn’t that poetic)
On a serious note (if you haven’t yet) have a listen to the Final Furlong podcast with Neil Channing (Soundcloud) Very enlightening

Gubbings like these seem to happen a lot when ppl bet the few big sports, I wonder if betting on less popular ones has a positive affect on the amount of bans. also most of these threads fail to mention the odds they took, that’s probably the biggest factor.

I know what I said won’t apply to a lot of people but there’s definitely a pattern with a lot of these gubbings it seems.

You’re right when it comes to odds – bookies don’t want customers who take value, there’s nothing in it for them – it’s probably one of the biggest factors, especially for newcomers, who follow the advice on most sites to take back/lays as close as possible.
I’d disagree about less popular markets being a positive – it’s the other way round. Our goal is to look like regular punters, and regular punters bet on big matches/races. The bookies actually make a lot of their bottom line from odds on favorites in big events – they price these markets up for their book to win overall, and that’s where the money is for them. One of the worst things you can do is placing bets on random, arbitrary lesser known markets – it’s a big fat abuser sign you’re holding up 😉

Well on betfair sportsbook i really only did a tenner on their correct score double odds promotion. Only won once out of about 10-15 tries plus a few of their enhanced horse/darts doubles etc that they put up on their homepage. Didnt do the 3/1 horse offer at all either. Was amazed when i got the email off them the other day as i hadnt took the piss with them at all.

Pickle – good to know to avoid those thanks 😛
Can I ask though, do you (or have you) used the BF exchange? Also what was your promo to mugbet ratio? Good, some or none?

Yeah ive used the exchange but never to lay bets i placed on the book. Most bets i placed were on promos but as i say i didnt very often win on them. I also played their slots casino and poker and exchange games.

Yeah it’s a tricky one – see in my opinion laying BFSB bets at smarkets is futile (albeit necessary oc) in that they have our other BFX history anyway. My view is that if you’ve been losing to the bookmaker, odds are you’re due for wins, so it’s in their best interest to actually get out while they’re ahead – assuming they pick up that you’re just after offers – and I’m guessing there’s a cut-off point in promos taken or promo/mugbets where you get flagged, so it’s just inevitable.
Unless someone else has a better record with BFSB to prove us wrong?

Well theres a regular on here whos had quite a few of those correct score bets come in and at good prices and as far as i know hes still going strong. I think theres luck involved as well.
