Bet voided on exchange but lost on bookmaker

  • Placed £40 on Pandar on Favourit in 1745 Salisbury and then around £40 against Pandar on Smarkets. Pandar didn’t race and so bet was voided on Smarkets but for some reason was lost on Favourit. So ended up £40 down! What a joke!

Anyone have any experience of things like this happening?

My Matched Betting Academy is the best place to get started. Learning the fundamentals takes 10-15 minutes and you’ll make £15 in the process.

Did you actually back Pandar or the SP favourite?

When did you place your bets? Wondering if you bet ante post in which it wld count as a loss if the horse pulled out

Should Void the bet as Pandar entered the stalls but was withdrawn not under starters orders.

Looks like no live chat so will need to email?

Why the bet anyway was it some sort of offer or sign up offer?

It wasn’t an ante post race!

If you definitely backed Pandar then you will get your money back. Who was the bookmaker?

Yeah I backed it on Favourit as part of their welcome offer. Did it 10 mins before the race started. I don’t really know much about horse racing to be fair but it did enter the stalls but didn’t go ahead with the race. It says my bet lost on Favourit and there is no live chat. Guess I’ll just have to email them.

There were joint favourites. You either backed the favourite or Pandar. World of difference. If you didn’t specify Pandar as the horse you was backing then you would have been on Doctor Bongo the other joint favourite.

I backed Pandar. Favourit is the name of the bookmaker.

Ah right, never heard of them. Must be a joke outfit if they don’t void your bet.

Yeah it’s strange, it’s more like a social media site than a bookmaker. They don’t seem great but they have a £100 signup offer so I planned to just do that and then be done with them.

Their rules a clear. If horse doesn’t come under starters then the bet is void. They have made a mistake if they don’t refund you.

Ah they have just replied to my email and said they made a mistake and it has now been corrected. Panic over haha.

    Thanks a lot.
