BetBright – Money back if both legs let you down – Man Utd and Leicester games

  • It’s only a €10 free bet refund, but some of us are in desperate times.

Back a double Man Utd/Leicester, odds 4.29. Lay on betfair at 4.8.

Cost is €1.42 and return is €8-€1.42 = €6.58. Effective odds of 4.6 against both teams winning.

I’m not sure this is right. If one team fails to win then don’t you lose both bets?

If one team fails to win then you win the lay bet and lose the bookie bet.

If both teams win then you win the bookie bet but pay out in exchange.

You’re backing and laying the same bet. Unless I’m having a slow brain day.

Is it not worth maybe increasing the loss slightly to £2.33. Instead betting Southampton and Everton. More likely to lose and therefore claim the free bet.

I don’t understand this approach. Make a bet and don’t lay.

If it wins happy days if it loses then extracting 85% from the free bet means you get £8.50 back and it’s only cost £1.50 for a potential £10-15 from a 2-2.5 odd bet.

Well I agree with you Simon. But I always try and give the matched betting option when I post offers!

Or at least work it through versus the exchange odds to prove the value.

There wasn’t really much worth in this one but pretty simple so might as well …

I know that this has gone now but just wanted to clarify, Simon, surely if you had backed the double and just one leg had let you down you would have lost the bet with the bookie and still not got your free bet?
