Betfair 7/1 horse double

  • Looks to be some value in this. Perhaps have a gander at my calculations and shout if they’re wrong.

Razin hell and Pass the time both to win 8.00. No max stake from what I can see but will work with £25. Returns 200, ie 175 profit.

25/0.98 = 25.51 lay on Razin hell. Liability of 48.98. (Odds at 2.92)
If it loses, money back. If it wins continue.

48.98/0.98 = 49.98 lay on Pass the time. Liability of 96.98. (Odds at 2.94)
If it loses, money back. If it wins…

    175 – 96.98 – 48.98 = £29.04

Of course you can guarentee profit working other methods.

Calculations look good to me and value is there. Think I’ll jump on this, thanks.

Guys, you’ve forgotten to add your stake of £25.00 to your first loss of £48.98. If Pass the Time doesn’t win, you’ll have lost £25.00. There’s nothing in this.

Yeah was just about to repost that we were missing the 25 on the 2nd bet following the loss of the first

No harm done, easy to get these sequential lays mixed up if you are not careful.

Easiest thing to do with these is to multiply both the odds together, ie 2.94 x 2.96 = 8.7, which is higher than the back odds, therefore no cash in it. If the combined odds had been lower than 8, it would have been worth looking at in more detail.

    Indeed, good advice there.

Hills have 3 different ‘enhanced’ horse multiples today. Just taken a look at all three.

The only one that is possible worth looking at is the Donald McCain Carlisle treble (Breezemount to place in the 13:50, Mo Chalin to place in the 14:55 and Subtly Grey to win the 16:05).

The current lay odds of each of these is 1.65, 1.61 and 1.93 giving us a total of 5.13

This is greater than the 6.00 that the boost is available at, but not sufficiently to make it worth it (imo).
