Betfair Backing Odds

Just a thought…I was scanning the odds on the Stoke v Liverpool game and went on the ‘To Score’ Market where I saw Benteke was currently Back @7.4 Lay @7.6 (Note this is To Score and not 1st Goal Scorer, trust me I double checked) I guess this is due to sometimes the odds being very skewed on Betfair.

With that said, the fact Bentake was only 2/1 on William Hill To Score and that was only due to being on their January Enhancement, it would be profitable over the long run to give it a punt even with the 5% commission?

What do you guys think?

Odds were high as Benteke didn’t start (only played the last 11 mins). I’d guess the odds shot up when the starting XI was announced. In principle if you just back any tight markets on the exchange you would be expected be down commission only in the long run.
