New to matched betting?
My Matched Betting Academy is the best place to get started. Learning the fundamentals takes 10-15 minutes and you’ll make £15 in the process.

As fog said if you are doing a 0-0 you don’t really need the odds to be that close as you can overlay to cover the qualifying loss and make it risk free
+0I guess that’s true! I’ll bear that in mind in future.
+0But bear in mind odds of 0-0 can be around 12/1 and so this offer doesn’t come in very often and also say 1-0 was odds of 6/1 the fact it has to be a draw at half time makes the odds even greater. However if you keep at it you only need 1 win in like 30+ odd to pay for your qualifying losses (if you don’t do the 0-0 overlay method) won about 4 or 5 very good offer. Oh yeah ps remember max bet is £10 and always lay on smarkets! Good luck!
+0Haha Thanks! It great to have a forum for this stuff!
+0Paddypower do odds for HT score/FT score. Just mentioning paddy here to estimate the chances of a correct score after being level at half time (betfair dont have the same marktet). Helps you decide what qualifying losses are acceptable.
I always do 0-0 as I think its the most likely to pay out, but if I wasn’t then I would be checking the likelihoods of getting free bets …..
Eg Liverpool 2-0 Man Utd is 9/1. If you check the odds on paddypower for HT/FT = 0-0/2-0 it is 25/1 so only expect 90 in free bets once in every 26 games. So weigh that in when your considering your qualifying losses.
0-0/1-0 is 9/1 on paddy power. So if you pick 1-0, expect free bets 1 in 10 games.
0-0/1-1 is 14/1 and 1-1/1-1 is 22/1 so 1-1 is about those two odds averaged out and that’s your chance of getting free bets if you pick 1-1, so roughly 18/1..
0-0 is 6/1…
Usually 0-0 comes out the most likely score to deliver you free bets. And also has the added benefit that you can overlay to make zero qualifying loss.
I always go with 0-0 but feel free to go with Matt’s suggestions either ;)
Yes. I have thought about this offer too much!!
+0Good odds on 2-0 right now for the Tottenham match, got 8.0/9.0.
Have to agree this is a great offer, god does it make the second half stressful though haha.
I’ve had 4 winners so far but some were laid prior to the win to lock in some profit, must be easily £200 up though after qualifying losses though
I usually do a rough spreadsheet calculation to lock in profit in play by subtracting 2 from the odds to cover the free bet extraction if it does still win. if the original back was 10.0 I would treat it as a £10 snr free bet at 8.0, just lets me quickly calculate the lay in play
+0Makes the football even more exciting also!

Ah well can’t always get a winner each day!!
+0FA Cup this weekend. Starting with Reading vs Palace tonight.
I am due one!
Reading v Palace – Fri 19:55
Everton v Chelsea – Sat 17:30
Arsenal v Watford – Sun 13:30
Man Utd v West Ham – Sun 16:00+0ah nice another tonight, 1-1 for me just because the odds looked good
+0A dive costs me a 0-0 how annoying!
+0Could you just take the guaranteed profit on a 0-0? Know its not much fun but little fish are sweet!
+0Nice! But that’s not in the offer.
+0LOL! just realised, Assumed it was because its on the box. Oh well, counts as one of my mug bets for the day :-)
+0Had 0-0 last night too. Took some 10 profit at half time with an easy lay …
Still all those free bets would have been nice.
