Betfair Exchange 100% bonus on net profit

  • Check your emails decent offer depending upon the amount you get.

One of my accounts is only £10 but the other is £100 which is decent.

I suspect the best way to tackle it is to back on the exchange taking into account the 5% making sure your winnings would be exactly £100 (or whatever amount you’re bonus is). Then use Matts risk free calculator and input cash back of 80% the amount to take account of the free bet/bonus.

My Matched Betting Academy is the best place to get started. Learning the fundamentals takes 10-15 minutes and you’ll make £15 in the process.

EDIT: the above is based off the bonus being paid if your bet loses my bad.

Obviously have to use effective back odds to get the correct lay stake.

Could someone double check my workings please? Would appreciate it.

Back £1,316 Roma on Betfair exchange 1.08 (after 5% comisson) profit = £100.02

    Lay £1,408.38 Roma on Smarkets 1.09 (after 2%) Liability = £126.82

    If Roma lose win – £1408.39 *.98 = £1,380.21 – £1,316 = £64.21

    If Roma win £100.02 – £126.82 + £90 extracted from free bet = £63.22

    Thanks guys

    I make your figures…

    Roma win > +£100.02 – £126.82 + £100.00 (cash bonus) = £73.20
    Roma don’t win > – £1,316.00 + £1,380.21 = £64.21

A lay stake of £1,416.83 would have given you a guaranteed profit of £72.49 on any outcome.

It’s best to calculate the effective odds you are getting having taken the cash bonus into account. You can then enter your effective odds as your back odds on the calculator.

    So…

    £1,316.00 * 0.08 = £105.28
    £105.28 * 0.95 = £100.01
    £100.01 + £100.00 (cash bonus) = £200.01
    £1,316.00 + £200.01 = £1,516.01
    £1,516.01 / £1,316.00 = 1.151983 (effective odds)
