Betfred and Paddy 2nd to FAV at Newcastle

  • Title says it all, minimum 5 runners. A few good races to check out (my opinion from doing this day in day out)

Also Tote doing a Bet365, but only £25 and only on 8/1+ SP, so hardly any use unless zero quali loss.

My Matched Betting Academy is the best place to get started. Learning the fundamentals takes 10-15 minutes and you’ll make £15 in the process.

I’ve spent a lot of time in marketting and promotions so know my stuff, and you have to wonder don’t you when a guy came up with the 8/1 promo why the verdict wasnt laughing him out of the room on the basis that their rival is doing the same but much better!

cheers for the tip off on newcastle too

I agree matched, however it’s good when there’s a large field and/or it’s a short race (6/7f). Much more scope for an upset.

    2 winners (boo).
    2 freebets.

That’ll do, would’ve been nice to hit a double (ie same nelly on Paddy and Fred) but they won didn’t they…

Two out of two for me at Newcastle today. I do like this offer.

Betfred do the 8/1 offer quite often, mainly in the evenings.

Cheers feltt1p. Home from work at 4.30, quick check of the forums to see if there are any footie offers tonight, saw this and noticed there was one solitary Newcastle race left at 16.50. Took rosy ryan at 9/9.4 and in it comes 2nd to sp fav. The freebet is in already
If only it were always that easy!

That’s a pretty big QL, ccmd0001. I typically get mine at matched odds, or at most 0.05 difference, for a QL around 30-50p. Sometimes it’s worth watching how the odds are moving for a little while.

When I’m stalking the mb2nd offers normally I wouldnt go above a QL of around 50p, but this was the only race I was able to get on due to not being at the computer all day so I just went for it.

How do you get the tight odds then arb?. Place the bet and anticipate the lay odds coming down?.

You’re quite alright ccmd, I didn’t bother with 3 races (including the last) due to high Fav odds, typical that they came in. Saying that though, would’ve gone for the wrong 2nd in such a large field I’m sure.

Also, there seems to be a trend that the 2nd fav will come in quite a lot of the time. First thoughts are that everybody gets on at the bookies for the 2nd to Fav promo so they reduce odds, then exchange traders see this so also back it in on the exchange. Will look into this further, food for thought.
