That’s what I’m thinking, I’ve done the first 2 days, don’t want to push my luck in light of what’s happened to others on here.

Time to rest accounts 1 and 2 for this offer, but account 3 can be used tonight ;-)

As I’ve only been matched betting for 6 months or so, is Cheltenham really all it’s cracked up to be?

From what I can see on the dedicated forum section, there were mainly free bet offers of £10 or £20 and the festival only lasts 4 days.

Is it really worth passing up this Betfred offer, which is worth at least £14 profit a day (-£100/week if they keep on doing it) according to Matt’s caclulations, to avoid risking losing an account?

I’m happy to be told I’m wrong by those who know better, that’s just my impression!

I think this was the last one, normally it’s only 2 days this offer runs for. I was up until 2.30am this morning and there was not many good close odds as the doubles was taking place too, ended up with a profit of £2.53 and a free bet later on.

If it’s on again tonight, then account #3 will be used again

Last year this offer ran for 4 days, even if it did go the full 14 your account would never survive it. If you do this offer for 3+ days there is high chance you will be gubbed. Cheltenham is profitable and you also have to consider the other Fred offers you will miss out on. Ultimately you could make £80 from this offer and your account will be dead or you could make £20, keep your account and make £200+ in the next 6 months.

All that said it’s up to you. Ask yourself these questions. Are you in matched betting for the long haul or a quick buck? Do you do horse racing offers? Could a friend have an account?

In my opinion keep at it if you’re not making that much from the bookie in their eyes, but if you’ve won a big free bet or won most of your QL bets I’d back away, as hard as that may be.
Cheltenham will be huge with boosts, arbs, extra places and free bets constantly from most bookies, so in my opinion you’d make more from Betfred at Cheltenham than you will making £14 a day with this Australian open offer.

I’ve done 15 matches and it’s about even with Fred, I’ll stick some random bets on today and lose them lol

@bamboo, can you give me details of the bets that will lose? I will place huge lays on them at the exchange to make some money ;)

    @Harris
it’s not what your making from boookies but rather how much value you take from the, if you place 3x£75 in play bets and 1x£25FB and then repeat, even if all your bets lose they will not like it.

Good point Orlando, but still better to be losing than winning at the bookies. Im not risking it even though 2/3 of my QL bets lost as did my FB, not worth it in the long run.

Maybe I’ll withdraw, don’t want to win anymore, all 3 tennis matches won today and have to lose the free bet too.

This is the spare spare account though.

So I didn’t do the offer today, and used the free bet from yesterday on the horses. The free bet won.

    I’ve just received the gubbing e-mail :(

Got to watch those free bets winning, never good to win on a free bet unless you have lost all 3 qualifiying bets.

Free bets lost and I managed to lose another two bets, withdrawn what I deposited.
