My Matched Betting Academy is the best place to get started. Learning the fundamentals takes 10-15 minutes and you’ll make £15 in the process.

Think their odds are standard enough, should get close matches if you take the time. Only thing is, 1 win typically wipes out 3 or 4 races worth of losses. So to get £1000 worth seems pretty ambitious to me unless you’re pummelling every race going.

My approach here is use their promotions as usual…speifically 2nd to SP fav or faller insurance etc. Then see where I am on 22nd december…might be up might be down

Yea, Matchedem ill go at it as normal until around the 19th of dec -If I’m around level then ill go put a few big bets on at tight odds say 100 -200 on 15/1 shots and hope they lose – if they horse wins obviously that would be the end of the offer, but if it loses id go again :)

    GO for the 250!!

Could you place a single bet, for example £500 and underlay it and guarantee profit?

So yesterday was the first day (post Fred/Tote) I really went at McLean’s on the horses – ended up £96 up.

Any tips on picking losers? I’d gone with mostly favourites on their beaten by a neck promo and favourites have a habit of winning more often I guess. I find when going for the longer odds, often when you get a close match, it’s because the odds are tumbling and you end up picking a winner that way.

I am not bothering with this. I usually use their horses for my free bets. There is no way in hell I’ll be in a loss.

If you are doing this make sure you put any free bets earned on their football boosts or something other than horses otherwise you will end up in profit and get no refund.

pretty sure you can guarantee profit from this offer

maybe Matt might blog about it?

Not sure why people not more interested in this

It is a simple underlay to guarantee profits, example below ignoring 2% smarkets commission

if you can get an even money shot, put £1,000 on it, then lay approximately £900 at hopefully as close to 2.00 as possible

if horse wins you are £100 up

if horse loses, you are £100 down, but you will get the £250 free bet of which you can get £200 back and thus be £100 up

guaranteed £100, compared to people scratting about with free £5 bets here and there

Yes but Marv if you are using BetMcLean regularly for other betting during the period then you will not be down 1000 if your example bet loses. I will have won half of that back on free bets on the horses etc. And if your doing their money back 2nd races then a couple lucky wins would mean that you get no refund – so you’re just down 100 …

    Its based on total losses.

I full appreciate some people might use BetMclean for many other things already and thus it might affect their current position in trying to make a loss from 6th to 23rd Dec

However say your account was +£500 already, using my same example above increase the stakes, stick £1,500 on an even money shot, and lay it at hopefully tight odds for £1,400

If it wins then up £100 overall, if it loses down £100 overall, and account is down £1,000 so get 20% back after extracting free bet, so £100 up overall

I appreciate these numbers are bigger for some people but with it being guaranteed big profit I am surprised the offer is not being talked about much that is all
