    Thanks! Definitely worth getting on but I don’t quite get the qualifying profit? I made a v small QL. I guess the place is laid at BF on the 6 place market?

    Okay you’re right. I calculated it based on 2% but of course you can’t lay 6 places on smarkets. So small QL. Sorry!

    I probably won’t lay this one. I fancy he will probably have a good chance at placing at least so could see my money back.

    I’ll cover a few more golfers on other offers to try and cope with variance.

    I actually think I’m making less money by not laying bets like I said somewhere else. It’s just the gambler in me, and the convenience of not having a lot of money tied up in a big float and being able to do the offers pretty quick without having to place a lay bet or wait to see if allay odds tighten.

    Probably the best way to play this one is back and lay now at 12. And put in an order for a low lay price as it looks like the 3.6 is still a bit on the high end and likely to come in a bit.

    Good advice but I’ve already laid for a small loss. Also, have McIlroy for an extra place or two. So naturally he’ll be 4th…

    Maybe I’m being an idiot here, but surely it’s a good thing that smarkets is top 5 lay – then if he finishes 6th we’ll win both bets?

    Yes spot on bobster. More liquidity on 5 places anyway so probably getting better value on your lay bet. Will be slightly bigger QL though.

    That’s what I liked about laying 6 places it was as good as risk free. Why I posted it that way.

    He has drifted a bit now anyway.
