    Just seen this.
They did exactly the same to me about 10 days ago.
My wife and I both had accounts with them as we are Man City fans and used to do the free bet on the Man City games. We tended to bet against Man City winning with the free bet so that it softened the blow if they didnt win.
Our accounts were blocked with about £120 in each account. Live chat said it was against the rules to have 2 accounts in the same household and under their terms and conditions they were confiscating the balance.
Over the life of our accounts both were in a net losing situation.
Hope we get some advise about what we can do.
Prehaps we might get more answers if this was in the matched betting area rather than on here

I have copied this here from general chit-chat as I hope it gets more attention and some advice will be forthcoming.

My Matched Betting Academy is the best place to get started. Learning the fundamentals takes 10-15 minutes and you’ll make £15 in the process.

All you can do is tell them you will contact the Independent Betting Adjudication Service (IBAS). If they are still unwilling to return your money, contact IBAS – it’s very easy to register a complaint for adjudication through their website. It also helps if you can obtain a complaint reference number from the bookmaker (BetSafe in this case).
However, if it does state in their T&Cs that you cannot have multiple accounts at the same address then it may be a lost cause.

In their final email they quoted the following terms under which they had confiscated the funds.

    12. Bonuses

12.1 Bonus offers are only available once per person, family, household, address, e-mail address, credit card number and / or IP address.

12.8 If there is any evidence of abuse or fraud, we will close Your Account and withhold any existing funds.

As I said above both accounts had been loss making from our point of view and the final balance had come from the qualifying bet winning not from the free bets.

It seems like you will have trouble getting your funds back if they are making a stance on this and closing all accounts that have broken this term. Ultimately, it doesn’t matter where your final balance came from – to say otherwise would be results-oriented. If you are placing bets using their free bets/bonuses then you are using value against their terms.

It’s still worth complaining and mentioning IBAS…

Very interesting to read the above problems with Betsafe.

Below is a message I posted on 4th April warning about potential problems.
Looks like my gut instinct was correct. For the amounts involved on the accounts mentioned above normal practice would be to restict the account or close it all together but return the funds.

My warning got poo pooed by the normal suspects, Ryan and Shaun 26 in particular but it could have saved both of the above families over £200 each.

    Post from April 4th

“I did post up a warning yesterday about potential problems with Betsafe on the bet £25 get £5 free bet thread but as usual Igot poo pooed by know it all Ryan.

Youth and optimissm is no match for age and experience.

I declined doing the Man City offer yestetday as I could see this coming.

When a bookie renages on an offer like Betsafe did with their last of the 10 year celebrations offer it clearly indicates a problem.

Like when Willy HIlls canned their Cheltenham offers half way through and since then there has been all the gubbings from WH,

Mark in their final email they gave a link to the complaint form available from IBAS website so it would appear that complaining to IBAS doesnt worry them.
I had thought of putting something on social media, but that might cause me more hassle than its worth.
As has been said above it seems very heavy handed for the sums involved.

I dont see how the two are linked Patrick. The OP has clearly broken their terms by having 2 accounts in his household and id be amazed if they relent. Your earlier post wasnt about multi accounting it was about betsafe in general. Had there not been two accounts in this case i highly doubt betsafe would have had a problem.
