Not open to the UK or Ireland, although the Spanish seem to have been forgiven.

Good spot Tino… Would have been crazy for the English to qualify for an English game!

    Silly BetStars terms again

Crazy they keep changing the terms for these promos. Hiding the restrictions in different places.

Had a scan last night and didn’t see any restrictions ..

Happened to me before where they changed the terms mid promo – got the freebet manually credited a day later after enquiring.
Anyone take a screenshot of the terms before the change?

I don’t think they actually changed it though conner. I just missed that bit. Usually they stick the UK restriction in the middle of the terms but this time they stuck it at the bottom.

Just me not being thorough enough.

Point is with bet stars you got to read the terms word for word every time no matter how familiar you think you are with the offer.

I thought I missed it too (even took a screenshot but cut off the bottom lol)
But I think it’s clear they changed it after the fact – they’ve definitely done it before, which is why I do scan the terms specifically for this…
Even on other forums there’s loads of peeps saying it wasn’t there when taking the bet last night.

Here’s the email from a previous game where they did they same:

    “Thank you for contacting BetStars.
You will indeed still receive your free bet in regards to this promotion as you placed your qualifying bet before the change.
We have forwarded your email to the team in charge so they can manually credit your Free Bet for this promotion. Please note that this team is currently handling a large number of emails so please allow up to 24 hours for the Free Bets to appear on your account.”
Just shoot them a friendly email (to avoid a gubbing lol) and we should get it.

I followed the advise and just got an email basicly saying “sorry that we are a crafty bunch of twats changing the offer terms midway through” and “we will credit you manually within 24h sir” :)))
Well worth of trying with that friendly sort of email.

Tried the friendly email approach, was basically fobbed off…….. ‘We are sorry to inform you that all .UK players have been excluded from this offer, therefore no Free Bet was credited to your account. We are sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused.’

If anyone has a screenshot of the offer it would be appreciated as I will use in a follow up…… would not be too bothered but it is twice they have done this to me now.

    Thanks

Sorry to hear that mate. Always best to at least give it a try. I think it is a bit of lesson that has been learnt here. I never really put much notice into how this particular bookie behaves with their offers but seen a lot of people complaining about it. They tend to do it quite often and next time I will definitely take a screenshot just to use it against them later. Looks like I have been lucky this time with my free bet then.

Sub_tone – assuming you did place the bet before the change – I’d make sure to tell them that you’re confident that the clause wasn’t in the terms when placing, and ask them why in that case it was actually advertised on the .uk site to begin with. It’s happened three times to me now, each time getting the free bet manually credited afterwards.
With Betstars a lot of the customer support reps are idiots who give standard responses to try get rid of you. They’ll repeat the same rubbish over and over, but I find that calm friendly emails where you just keep persistently asking them to explain their logic eventually get escalated and you get the free bet.
