Yeah, I’ve layed the draw also. I know it takes a chunk out of any possible profit, but my QL came to £4.06 (PSG/PSG: 4.1/4.7) and that’s quite a large QL.

    And I like risk free.

Username…..due to the odds of the draw, if you would get more profit by simply backing the draw with the qualifying loss then there is no possible way to lay the draw for a risk free shot.

Example: £2.50 qualifying loss. If its a draw assume £20 from free bet – £2.50 = £17.50 profit.
Back a draw odds of 8.5 @£2.50 = £18.75 profit no value at all.

    If you lay the draw for £2.50/.98 = £2.55 @ 8.6 = liability of £19.89. Therefore if its a draw £25 free bet assume £20 – £19.89 – £2.50 = -£2.39 loss.

So if you fancy a risk free shot at a £2.39 loss be my guess and lay the draw….

Got a £1.40 qualifying loss Ryan, so looking at around £18.50 profit before laying the draw for £1.50, liability £11.70 (odds were 8.8)

so risk free shot at almost £7, well worth it

I did the same username. Less profit if it ends a draw but there’s less chance of it being a draw so why lose money in qualifying for the offer

More and more these matched betting offers are speculative rather than guaranteed. I prefer to make these risk free

Good luck to us all, the way I look at it though is a risk free i.e £0 cost shot at £7 is poor value compared to a £1.58 shot at £21.

Ryan – I think you’re incorrect to deduct the £2.50 at the end of your sums, as that’s what was layed to cover the qualifying loss. So it looks like an £0.11 profit in your example, from what I can see.

Still not on this bet. Odds are so poor. I think backers on Smarkets are well aware of the Betstars offer, as well as the 0-0 bore draws on B365 and WH.

Trick is to get these done early as possible. Lay markets for HT/FT are slow to wake up on smarkets but gradually do so during the day.

Ah not this again Pavlon. Someone else queried the exact same thing the other week but someone backed me up and it is correct.

Lets say you back HT/FT and lose £2.50. No matter the out come you lose £2.50.

You then lay the draw, for say £10 liability. If its a draw you lose £10 you still lose the £2.50 also regardless as well, that loss doesn’t disappear just because it so happens to be a similar amount to your lay stake.

If its not a draw you lose the £2.50 (as you always will) but you will win the lay on the draw and it will net off with the £2.50 to reduce the loss to nil.

This offer doesn’t appear for me for some reason. I see it only for Europa League games on Thursday. Anybody else having the same? I’m based in Sweden.
