Betting Exchange Platforms in Germany

  • So first of all I don’t know if there are even any Germans in this forum, as matched betting isn’t really popular in Germany. But maybe I have luck and there is someone from Germany or at least someone who can help me. So I wanted to start with matched betting and read some great guides which also linked to betting exchange platforms, but because the law isn’t clear enough for many websites they pulled their business out of Germany. My question now is if anybody knows if there are any reliable betting exchange platforms in Germany.

Thanks in advance for anyone who can give me an answer.

My Matched Betting Academy is the best place to get started. Learning the fundamentals takes 10-15 minutes and you’ll make £15 in the process.

Hi @zarok. I could be wrong, but as far as I’m aware, both Betfair and Smarkets accept customers from Germany.

Sadly both don’t allow German customers or rather Smarkets doesn’t accept German customers at all and Betfair accepts German Customers but without the ability to use the Betting Exchange. Matchbook did until some weeks ago but they also refuse German Accounts now.

Yes it seems you’re correct. It looks like Matchbook were the only exchange accepting customers from Germany until recently, unless anyone knows otherwise…?

    Hiya,

Matchbook has been the only betting exchange in Germany for a while since many others stopped operating.
However, the stopped taking new customers from Germany in January, then in February changed their mind and made it possible for German customers again. Now, they stopped accepting them again. Crazy!!

I’ve had a Match Book account for a while so no probs for me but for all new customers it won’t work.

I use an oddsmatcher, dutching calculator, expected value calculator, trigger bet calculator and some others, as well as a forum which posts all relevant offers for the German market at the Matched Betting site DoppelWetten. The entire page, incl videos is bilingual English German but exclusively for the German market.

To come to the point: On that website, they recommend all new customers to go via Brokers. Seems to be working.

Maybe worth looking into. Good luck!

Yes, there is no exchange left at the moment. Matchbook only works for those that signed up prior to 2019, unless you use a broker. Matched Betting is still possible as as Germany has good offers and bonuses it’s very much worth it.
