Betway boost

  • Anyone seen the Betway boost January sales: Rugby, England to win 6 nations at 4.0

  • New to matched betting?

My Matched Betting Academy is the best place to get started. Learning the fundamentals takes 10-15 minutes and you’ll make £15 in the process.

The boost is for England to win the Six Nations Grand Slam, so they would have to win all 5 of their games in the tournament. There are currently no lay odds for them to win a Grand Slam but somebody more clued up on rugby union could probably judge if there’s value in this

Yes, but I haven’t found anything to lay it against yet. The other sale boosts aren’t very good value so I suspect this one will prove to be the same.

You could try to do some kind of sequential lay on this but you would be guessing on the odds.

They are 1.29 to lay to beat France at home. This one we dont have to guess, thats what betfair have.

    Then the guessing begins.

They will be longer than that to beat Wales (stronger team and away from home). Say about 1.5

Then Italy and Scotland both at home – should be easy wins (though wales are only 1.28 to beat Italy except that is an away game for them and Ireland are only 1.57 to beat Scotland but again an away game.) Lets say England are 1.1 to beat Italy and 1.2 to beat Scotland.

Then the last match is vs Ireland in Dublin, has to be 50-50. So 2.0.

Combined odds by my guesses = 5.1. I doubt backing at 4.0 will give you any value.

Although others are giving only 3.0 (b365 and paddy power) for England to do the Grand Slam so 4.0 is a nice boost if 3.0 is anywhere close to the real odds. Might be worth a punt. I wouldn’t fancy them to beat the irish in ireland though. So there you go.

Too complicated laying this one. Gonna punt a tenner. They’ve got a chance of doing this!
