Betway Curse

  • I’ve gone against the MBB code and signed up o the betway offer, after doing my research on here, I decided not to go for the full £100 and go for £50 instead in the hope of staying ‘ungubbed’ as I quite like the darts offers.
I placed my first £50 as a standard qualifying bet with a £50 stake which has won and I now have £226 in the account including the free £50 I’m yet to use.
Anyone been in this situation before and know which way to play it from here?
Liability isnt an issue as I’ve built up a half decent bank over the previous 2 months.

My Matched Betting Academy is the best place to get started. Learning the fundamentals takes 10-15 minutes and you’ll make £15 in the process.

You’re fine. (assuming BW doesn’t play dirty)
What I would do is bet on low odds football £50 -£100 a time till you meet RO or bust out. Others may give you different ideas.

Check T&C’s for time limits and min.odds

You’ll be fine. I went for full £100 and it was pretty straight forward. I used their bet £25 on a treble and get £10 of free bets offer (lay on betfair, QL of about £3-4 but guarantee profit of £6-7 with free bets) and their Saturday horse racing 2nd money back offers for low QL with a chance of a free bet. As I was betting, the £100 bonus was slowly being transferred to cash. Not long after completing the wagering requirement, they gub me! Disappointing as I liked them

Alright guys I just wondered if someone could help me here. I have been round a mates and done a load of sign up offers today. Anyway, the last site was betway where we went for the £100 bonus thing and anyway here is what has happened. backed a winner with some BOG making it an extra £50.

I just wondered what is the best way to play it from here? I guess I should just give up some decent margins for them and just play out the £800 in 8 bets of 100.

I don’t know how it works but remember hearing on here a horror story of people getting gubbed half way through the sign ups etc etc.

there’s loads of people on here who’ve had problems, but I find them to be a good bookie. They even emailed me to warn me that if I kept betting on offers they would gub me, so they are one of the few that I mug with. I would do as you say, give up a bit of the profit on less than perfect odds matches on big footie and work your way through.

    Good luck mate.

Cheers deathstar. I know it just seems a little bit worrying. With the £50 BOG win I aim to use that in QL over the remaining £800. My plan is to do £100 on 8 football matches over the 1.75 on stuff like BTTS and teams to win etc. If I did £100 on 2 horses then I don’t see why that would be suspicious upon any withdrawal. It’s also I read about some 30% rule someone said a couple of weeks but nothing mentioned in the terms. Its all very ambigious but I feel that if I just dug it out of footy its quite a low risk sport to the bookies and I could easily justify my strategy if there were problems later on.

I saw that about the 30% but couldn’t find anything in the T+Cs either. I think some people have mistaken betway for someone else like winner or bwin. of course, YMMV but I’ve never had a problem, and some of their prices are ok. like everyone you have to watch for when the odds move, but they are top price occasionally. I think, like everyone else, they take great offence if you are always betting on 30/1+ horses, especially when they win!
