My Matched Betting Academy is the best place to get started. Learning the fundamentals takes 10-15 minutes and you’ll make £15 in the process.

Thanks for posting this, what are the lay odds like for this? Is it eligible to UK punters?

It’s definitely available to UK customers

Only thing to bear in mind with this is that the 3 single £20 bets you need to qualify for the £20 free bet must always be placed in play and the free bet can only be placed on basketball also.

I haven’t tackled this offer yet as basketball is such a fast paced game, things can change literally in seconds and unsure what in play lays are like. Something maybe to look into further though in terms of perhaps betting between quarters.

Betway used to do something like this.

I ended up doing total points odd/even market each time. Basically betting on a coin toss.

Odds here are about 1.91. So long term for each 20 you bet you win back 19.10. So <5% cost of getting on.

It’s something to consider if you want to do this offer quick and can’t find good back and lay or don’t want to be caught for commission.

The prematch odds are awesome Charlotte Hornets back@2.6 and lay @2.53 on smarkets. Pity it has to be in play and probably means staying up all hours!

How is liquidity in play? On the smaller games as well like that might be playing at a reasonable hour?

Which markets are available in play?

I haven’t yet done this offer (was waiting for confirmation from bwin that it’s open to UK customers because they only mentioned euro amounts before), but it’s on all basketball leagues so shouldn’t mean staying up late. Basketball is a popular sport pretty much everywhere that isn’t the UK, so there are exchange markets with decent liquidity. Not huge amounts, but sufficient.

That said, if you want to go for the NBA games, Sundays are probably the best days as they stagger the games through the day and they often start at about 6pm UK time.

Just like football, I’d guess the best time to back and lay will be at half time. Between quarters and at time-outs might work, but that’s still only a couple of minutes.

i did it two days ago bet on NBA money line its win/lose market. Odds were changing fast in game but only with 0.1 i have managed to make a profit backing sharlot hornets in game 0.30p or so. Its good offer. Just one think to consider i think the free bet is 20 euros and converted to £ is £16 at least that was my free bet. I dont think there is any good games today ,but tomorrow is eurolegue and games shouldn’t be too late.
Liquidity on NBA was good , didn’t have any problems.
