Can I do Matched Betting ?

  • Morning everyone,

I have been introduced to matched betting from a housemate, from what I am reading here I am unable to take up joining offers due to the 1 per household/ip rule.
How would I begin my journey given the situation? I have a tablet for working on ebay it also has a 4g sim installed.
I have read about multi accounting and this is not my intention, just wanted to have a go maybe go straight to re load offers and skip the joining ones.
What would be your plan of action in my situation?
Thanks in advance for taking the time to read this any productive feedback would be appreciated,
Have a great day everyone ?

My Matched Betting Academy is the best place to get started. Learning the fundamentals takes 10-15 minutes and you’ll make £15 in the process.

this is a dodgy area, bookies seem to be clamping down at the moment. Personally i would email the bookies, explain the situation and see what they say.
You could go down the different ip route, but if all your documents and ID are in the same address, you still have a problem.

i take it you are not related to your housemate? you could argue that “a household” would be family members, but if the bookie decides different you’re screwed, so i would say its best to be up front and see if they agree.
Make sure you save any correspondance in case any problems arise in the future if they do let you join.

    Hi Deathstar,

That’s right, completely indipendant of each other, no relation in all respects, just share the address. In my email would “am I able to open an account with you as my housemate already has one” suffice or would it be best to quit out to avoid any future issues
Cheers for the reply, appreciate it

i assume so, i don’t really know. customer service are usually trained to be polite rather than knowedgable. so it would be best if you get everything in writing and preferably from a supervisor or above.

I think i would put something in like “according to your t+cs, you only allow 1 account per household, does this include shared addresses as i live in a bedsit with 500 other unrelated people who i don’t know and they all speak Chinese and they are not part of my “household” i just happen to live in the same building etc etc” at least that way it shows you’ve read the t+cs and have a genuine concern. as long as you do that, they can’t really start mucking about with clauses and T+Cs, and if they say no then at least you know where you stand. but then, they are a rule unto themselves.

    Hi there,

Part of my strategy is to inform bookies I rent the bedsit in the same building as other residents, I will be clear about this from the start.
We share the same address sure, but they don’t live with me, my account and ID are my own no one else’s. Thanks for the feedback Deathstar, I’ll keep the thread updated as I begin slogging through them.
P.s would it be advisable to ask about Wether I qualify for welcome bonuses or just go straight onto reloads,
    Peace.

i would just ask if you can have an account, then if you get the sign-up bonus it’ll be, well, a bonus. i would assume that if they believe you, then logically there wouldn’t be any reason for you not to get bonuses. But don’t quote me on that, bookies are anything but logical.

    Good luck
