Can you make €500 a month in Ireland

  • I have just notcied the potential of matched betting and as I currently have many hours per day spare. I would like to try my hand at it.

A few of the bookmakers seem to limit their deals to the UK only.

Does anyone know if making a decent bit of money per month in Ireland is possible

I am getting started using ladbrokes stake €5 to get 4x €5 free bets.

I was planning to use my qualifying bet in conjunction with a €5 risk free bet on betfair exchange to cut my teeth.

I will be backing over 2.5 West Ham Liverpool
And backing under 2.5 to keep it simple.

I know I will need to lay my free bets and hopefull get €15 out.of them

Is this the most efficient strategy to maximize both?

  • New to matched betting?

My Matched Betting Academy is the best place to get started. Learning the fundamentals takes 10-15 minutes and you’ll make £15 in the process.

    Hi Johnny,

The good news is you can use both Betfair and Smarkets in Ireland. It just depends on the bookmakers.

You would need to check the terms and conditions of each offer to see if Irish customers are eligible.

As far as I’m aware though, there is money to be made over there.

In terms of the two offers you’ve mentioned…

I always prefer to keep offers separate in order to keep things simple. This is especially important when you’re just starting out too as it’s easy to become confused.

That being said, I hope it worked out for you.

Hi Matt, thanks a million for the reply. Yes, not every offer is available in Ireland.

Yes, right you about becoming confused. I made a hash of my Coral 4x Free Bets and only extraced €6.50. (also forgot to use one the bets as a ‘free bet’) I did get €14 from Ladbrokes however. I also messed up my risk free bet on Betfair as it was placed with liability of €4.95 instead of 5 due to a slight odds shift.

Fortunately after contacting them they gave me €5 SNR Free bet on the sportsbook. I did successfully use this in conjunction with my qualifying bet of €5 from Ladbrokes. I made either €2.50 or €3.75 depending and got my free bets.

I ended up with €90+ in coral, I placed a mug-bet (which I layed, to lose €0.20) and then did not withdraw the full amount?
    Is this good practice?

Thanks again for the helpful reply.

    Yes that sounds okay Johnny.

There’s no right or wrong way with mug betting. The jury is out on how effective mug betting actually is. All you can do is mix things up as much as possible and keep them guessing.

I always like to leave some funds in each account but it depends on your bankroll and whether you need to move the funds elsewhere. That should become easier as you build your bankroll up.

Yes I think full withdrawal is maybe the biggest red flag.
